Easy Equities good or bad?

Very few people go to hellopeter to provide positive feedback.

Most usually log their complaints to get some sort of elevated assistance to their issues they struggling to resolve through normal channels.

That said, Capitec and FNB customer base is so much larger, EE business is also less day to day transactional...EE should have a better score.
 
Have the EE folks received their 2024 tax certificates yet?

I'm with ABSA Stock brokers and they still haven't got them available
 
Question, I bought shares on Monday morning. Its still pending this morning. Looking at sharenet, this firm was trading big in the last 2 days. Why would it still pend ?

And I logged a support ticket to EE (please advise)
 
EE now replied with :

"Upon checking, enX Group Limited is currently suspended as there is no liquidity and must be traded through the Trading Desk which is why it's still pending on your end. With that being said, you can call the trading desk between the hours of 09h05 and 16h40 daily on 010 141 2202 or send an email to [email protected] with the following information "

My question, looking at sharenet, clients are buying ENX shares left and right, and nothing suspended.

NOW : When should an investor pull the plug if they are feeding false information ?
 
I don’t understand the direct share ownership thing? Is it an issue?

Their definition of open to the public seems to differ from mine.

I am keen to see if they offer a broader range of ETNs, kind of like what FNB has - but different companies.

I highly doubt its an issue for most people. Its not like Investec are going to go bankrupt anytime soon.

You might not have voting rights on the companies - but - how many times have you used that with a platform such as EasyEquities?
 
Folks, i would like to increase my offshore investments, so a couple of questions for the learned folk here:
  1. Is there a way to fund your USD account monthly with a scheduled payment or something - currently the way i think it works means it still has to be done manually
  2. Is there similar ETF's like MSCI World etc how do i find some decent ones to invest in with low cost?
  3. Any other options apart from EE for this type of investing which is cheap and easy to get going?

Also I bank with FNB, any idea whats the cost to make a payment to the EE USD account? Is it cheaper to use the EE FX transfer feature?

I've heard good things about interactive brokers, although I don't use them myself

I can't really answer much but I will try.

1. Unsure, doubt it
2. I have used this before. Just filter by global. You can also select and compare. https://compare.easyequities.co.za/finder
3. Unsure

A while ago compared the cost of sending via EE (that FX transfer thing), FNB, and Shyft. Shyft came out tops.

Not an expert -
1. as an individual no - due to SDA - exchange control etc
2. there are many - re 5079 and others that offer index trackers etc
3. dependant on 2 - but several reference in thread etc - theres also this

Easy equities Alternative

Hi all, Just checking to determine if there are any worthy alternatives to Easy equities in terms of cost? Looking for anything cheaper than EE. I read the thread from 2020 which seems to be none at the time. Perhaps after 3 years there is a new entrant
