Easy Equities good or bad?

I bought Advtech at 14:00 for R16.98. Just a minute or two after that it dropped to R16.93. Google finance confirms it was trading for R16.93 since 13:50 for at least an hour and it hasn't traded above R16.49 the whole afternoon. Why did I pay 0.3% more than the real market price?

That is the problem with EE. It does not matter what price it traded at the time. They give you the best offer price at the moment you bought. When you sell they give you the best bid price and not the the price it traded at.

So you always loose out. You can loose 10% on buying and loose 10% on selling. Their low brokerage cost is a Trap!

Check the "offer" price.

EE don't let you use a "bid" price, so you have to take whatever is offered.
so next time check before you make a buy and rather wait till the offer price is right.

Or use your demo money to check price first before buying with real money.

I don't see how that is relevant to what I posted. Stopped trading at the price I got it for for at least 10 minutes before and never traded at that price again. What EE did in this case was to give me their 15 minute delayed price while buying it for less at some other point.

Again irrelevant, see above. If I got it at the current offer price I wouldn't care even if it was out by 1%. They gave me the delayed price while getting it cheaper themselves so they padded it with their own hidden spread to make extra money.

I'm intrigued. So they get a quote for the current market price when you place a demo trade? Not that it mattered in this case as I didn't get current market price in any case.

From what I understand it's always delayed, that's why it happens but perhaps it can work both ways, ie be cheaper than expected?

It's not about what's expected. It's about trades not happening at current market rates. I don't know how many times I have to state that.

We're back to this scht again. Close your fscking account and move the hell on.

I didn't ask for your opinion. You've made it clear on many occasions now that you're not interested in discussing them and that they can do no wrong. So please just nicely buzz off again and stop trolling.

Do I go on and on in the MWEB thread about their throttling? No. They throttled me and I changed provider and moved on... move on troll-in-this-tread.

From what I have heard all these low cost trading platforms do delayed trades and to get get real time purchase options you must pay brokers premium which is relatively costly. Depending on the value of the trade will indicate which is a more viable option.

Their trading delay must be specified in their terms and conditions, read it.

No free lunch.

Have never seen them specify a delay. From all the discussion around it there is also no agreement on the subject because they don't specify how they work.

A delay is also not the issue here. It's having an extra margin here without being upfront about it.

It pains me that I can still see your stupid posts on Tapatalk. Wished you stopped moaning about the same stupid scht...
