Easy Equities good or bad?

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I was battling to sell NPK (Nampak) - even smaller amount. I have received this error message:
"Trade Unsuccessfull:Unable to open trade for user ***** on instrument 196 because You may not have or increase a short position for this instrument".

What does it means?
EE thinks you're trying to sell more than what you own. Refreshing usually fixes it.

Hi, does anyone know how long it takes until I can withdraw funds? Sold some shares this am and want to withdraw it.

It states my money under 'unsettled cash' and states it can take up to 5 business day?!?! That's crazy, how long is the usual time? Thanks
That's the JSE taking up to 5 days to settle it. It used to be 10 days a month or two ago.

If you need it right now use your credit/overdraft and replace the funds when the money is released?

JSE changed from t+5 to t+3 settlement a few weeks back. Don't know where you got the 5 and 10 days from.

EE requires you not to buy with your unsettled cash for 5 business days before you can withdraw.

Also settlement periods start counting from the first business day but includes all days.
