Easy Equities good or bad?

Got an email from them that they're now going to be paying interest daily. How on earth does that work?

If you have R50 in your account it's only 29c a month of which they take 6c as a management fee and 1c as VAT. Daily this would be <1c so how are they going to get the management fee and VAT?

Just seems fairer to be paid monthly as you then get paid most of the fractions as well.

Maybe compounded daily but deposited monthly

As you probably know by now, we're in the habit of busting out new features on the regular - that's how we roll. As we add your (and some of our) great ideas to the website, we need to kit out our T's and C's with a few extra's too.

Going forward we're going to be paying interest daily, rather than monthly, so we've updated the T's and C's accordingly. If you want to read up on the few additions we've made to the fine print, here's a summary of the changes for you to go over. Of course the link to our full T's and C's is always available at the bottom of every page on our site.

So I just recently discovered this website, does anyone have some good tips for a beginner? I have some money lying around that's doing nothing and have been looking for ideas, I'm sad I never bought capitec shares when they 1st started out, I could have retired already :(

Open an account with Easy Equities and then play around with the demo account that's included worth R100 000

Once you have figured it all out in there, move onto real money.

I transferred some cash out of an fnb 32 deposit into my EE account. Can't remember if I included a reference number on the transfer.

5 days after the transfer was supposed to go through, still nothing reflecting on the EE side, cash gone from fnb. Fnb says the cash has gone through. EE says the funds haven't cleared :(

In hindsight we all wish we bought Capitec, Coronation, etc when they listed. We could just as easily have chosen African Bank :)

However if you think you have some idea of what you are doing and aren't afraid to lose that money then go for it.

Research the companies you are interested in, look at the Integrated Reports on their website.

So EE and dividends.

How do they pay it? reinvested in the particular fund, or into your EE balance?

I noticed with Demo Account no dividends get paid or am i missing something. I know its a demo, but was under the impression its a realtime simulation with dividends being paid to the demo balance?

Just like any other platform? The dividends get credited to your account unless it is a total return instrument, then it is automatically reinvested.

I wish they'd do some cleanup. Why is Great Basin Gold still listed and why is it under banks? Why is African Bank still listed separately? Why are there so many rights shares when these are special offers to purchase ordinary shares? Why are Advtech and Curro listed under General Retailers?

What does the USA platform actually mean?

Does the money we put there leave the country? Can we have the money deposited in a US account once we sell?

I think if it does not leave the country dont use this option as not true offshore investment....

But what if I want to invest in Amazon and the ETF trackers only give me 1% exposure and I'm too poor to go with true offshore investment?
