Easy Equities good or bad?

I have had two instances now where they have sold my shares with no knowledge / instruction from me.
While the 1st I believe may have been an alert to let me know for some reason those shares HAVE to be sold, this latest one is worrying. I got the email saying Instruction Received - Sell of over R3000 of shares.
I searched my emails as it was a Deutsche stock and I doubt that anything has happened to DB and we haven't heard.
Nothing...

Whats worse is that last time it took EE 3 weeks to get back to me.
I mailed them on the 1st and have chased today - still no reply.
AND the money is neither in my account or anywhere actually... so missing.

Anyone else had similar?

May have been when the Deutsche stuff got rebranded to Sygnia.
Its just a name change.

Exactly that. I have searched my emails for some sort of notification prior to getting the invoice - nothing.
And surprise surprise, still no response from them - client services is severley lacking

It's been in the news for months leading up to the change and in their SENS. The Deutsche Bank ETFs (DBX) was bought over by Sygnia. So all your DBXWD, DBXUS etc. ETFs are now SYGWD, SYGUS...

I was notified about this via email on 12 September.
 
Anyone trying the alpha version of the app? Pretty much a glorified mobile webpage. At least the android version
 
I have not been using EE in some years. Just out of interest, how long do they now take to complete a transaction when buying shares? I bought some a couple of hours ago and I just get the 'Transaction Pending' status. Back then transactions were instantaneously. Also, I see now you can no longer see the share price you are buying at.
 
Bought some steinhoff and EE took the money and it shows reserved for the transaction in the trading history but they didn't give methe share straight away. Also bought some telkom and got that. Hope they give it to me at the right price of R5someting I did check and there was definitely volume available at the time.

Seems there were speculation that Steinhoff may be delisted from the JSE. JSE confirmed they would not delist as yet, nor would they prevent trading for now. So, it seems there may have been some confusion over this, hence the reason there are delays on buying shares. If the issues are really this bad, I think Steinhoff may get the boot off the JSE in the near future and everyone will lose their investments.

I also turned to Telkom and got them immediately.

Yes, but EE shouldn't listen to speculation or try and nanny me they should just execute the transactions that I want them to. It's still pending.
 
So they gave it to me at R8.40. That was rather disappointing from Easy Equities and I'll probably look to move to a proper broker next year.

Hence the reason I rather cancelled my order. I actually feared them selling it at much higher prices.

Probably speaking out of turn here but I doubt that. Most penny stocks trade Over-The-Counter (OTC) and I doubt whether EE has this available on their "Play in the USA" platform.
 
Anyone else struggling to log into Easy Equities at the moment?
Im also getting an error when trying to deposit funds, my bank says that the account has been frozen. (Nedbank)
I have confirmed the same issues with 2 other people as well.

Probably busy with a release or something. Was able to log in earlier, getting an error atm.
