Easy Equities good or bad?

Personally I'm buying EU defence stocks. Rheinmetall is up 60% over the last 3 months. BAE up 14% in the last week on account of UK increasing their defence spend as well.

Rheinmettal just hit 100% since I bought.

Obligatory "I should've bought more" :P

My Robinhood stock still flying, wonder if I should take some profit and maybe buy Coinbase although it has also had a great month?

I personally dont have any of this. I know a few friends who bought, who doesnt own any properties. They are sitting with shares they cant sell!

Out of interest, did these friends know what they were buying into? Or did they just have some f&$ckit chuckit money?

I think there is a slight misunderstanding here and the OP from reddit.

They can sell, but not at a price they want to sell.

Is anyone able to help me find the relative fund performance of Satrix 40 and DIVI over the last 5 years if all dividends were reinvested. I asked ChatGTP but I don't trust it's answer. ChatGPT says DIVI has outperformed the 40 by almost 3% per year. Is this correct?

satrix and sa never publish much data with regards to shares so to get accurate info is almost impossible:

R100k on July 1st 2020 until July 1st 2025 should be around R160,000 for Satrix 40 and R150,000 for Satrix Industrials give or take? what figure did you come up with <-- Satrix 40

Download all the factsheets who might interest you. They have usually the last 3 to 5 years growth listed!

Your jaw would drop if you see listed property growth in the last 24 months!

Scroll to the Performance Table

It says the below under it "Returns are calculated for lump sum investments. All dividends reinvested on ex-date."

40 seems to have better past performance over last 5 years.

I gave ChatGPT o3 with advanced research mode a bash at this.

It used data from satrix, justonelap, morningstar, easyequities, yahoo finance, bloomberg and a whole bunch of others. (oh lol, I see it even lists them at the end)

Says the 40 outperformed the DIVI, but you can decide.

How is 5% cooking?

But also that value on EE is also based on the current holdings not the total account profit/loss.

If you sold everything and bought anew it resets.

Bullshit stats are bullshit stats.

This is no indication of performance, it just means I consistently put money in over time.
