As an EasyEquities client, did you receive an email warning you about the new mandatory R25 per month Thrive subscription?

Just double checked and last email was a confirmation of withdrawal on the 13th of September. Thankfully my balance is something silly like 7c.

You need to withdraw every last cent. Even the demo accounts have to be zeroed. Then contact them to close the account. Super easy, right?

@rpm you need a "other".

Got the mail but straight to spam via google. If I didn't have a sick fascination at looking at the quality of phishes would have never seen it.

No but the account was dormant anyway. Also can't close the account. A real cockup by them.
You need to send them an email. Think there is an option somewhere on the website under contact us.

Mine got closed recently, I hope... I received the notification but let's hope.

Lol, reminds me of when Gian Afrihost used to write personal letters.

Personally I won't knee jerk as some investments are down but I won't deposit any more large funds and will look to take others out when possible.

Not around the fee, other concerns.

Nope, last mail (that was not confirmation of deposit) I got from them was 20 July and titled Help us improve and get a chance to win.

Nope, and neither did my wife (she has a couple of thousdand rands dormant profile).

She actually logged in for the first time in a year, had about R3000 dividends sitting in cash.

It's been more than a week since they said they would close my account. I have emailed them and contacted them to confirm the account has been closed and am still waiting to hear whether they have done so.
