Edbuntu size differences.

I plan on downloading Edubuntu but I see that 9.04 is 837MB, 9.10 is 3.3GB!!!! and 10.04 is only 1.8GB.

Why the size differences?

I can install and do basic configurations, but that's about it. I know very little about Linux.

No idea, possibly the amount of included applications. 10.4 is still beta or whatever so keep that in mind.
