Elden Ring

3 endings down. A few more to go

First game I've gotten all achievements in on Steam

Busy with my 4th playthrough to get the other endings, and studying the speedrun route so I can start with that too
even steam achievements are hard to get in this game, had 3 when I was 60 hours in, now started going on with
main story and have 7. lol

are you playing different classes / play styles for each playthrough?

First 3 playthroughs were with the same character (finished NG+), and second playthrough was on a new character. Fourth playthrough is on a new character too

Every time I think to myself in over 80hrs into this: "Oh I've seen all the big, impressive areas, I must be on the home straight" something comes along and blows me away.

Either something I've missed and gone back and found by exploring a little further or by progressing a side story/quest.

It truly is a masterclass in world building. The amount of time and effort that must have gone into crafting some of these areas is phenomenal. I wonder how expansive the inevitable DLC will be.

For my NG+ I'll certainly be opening a guide to see what all I still missed in my first play through.

Think I'm playing the most OP build. Got Sword of Night and Flame and managed to refine it to +6 now. The beam kills bosses in 1 or 2 hits and I didn't even add more attributes more than required (12 STR, 12 DEX, 24 INT, 24 FTH). Just pumped vigor to 40 and mind to 30. Now I'm pumping endurance and using the heaviest armour I can find so far (Banished knight set from those knights in Stormveil castle) so that I can still medium roll. Still using a staff in one hand which is useful to thin out packs and pull single enemies. The sword also does good damage attacking normally with it (split phys, magic and fire damage so it's effective against most things)

Easy game and haven't died for a long time. Though I do play fairly carefully and take my time clearing the map from one side.

...and this is precisely why Souls games don't need an easy mode.

I think it's much easier to get OP early in this game compared to other souls games because you have access to most of the map right at the start. So you can get some of the best weapons and upgrade materials right at the start if you know where to go. Normally these would be locked behind a certain amount of progress and bosses.

I see the new update nerfed some of my most used ash of war items according to the patch notes.

I've done a respec of my attributes towards magic so there are at least buffs on some spells,
will need to see if its on any spells I currently have/use.

Yep some nerfs to the most popular things. My weapon got nerfed but don't know by how much. People were using it to speedrun (all bosses or all rememberances runs) as you could get it to +9 in like the first 20 mins and then go destroy everything. So some speedrun times might not be beatable unless glitches are found.

  • Decreased Ash of War, Hoarfrost Stomp's damage and increase cast time.
  • Increased Ash of War, Bloody Slash's self-inflict damage while slightly lowering the damage and increasing the cast time.
  • Decreased weapon skill, Sword of Night and Flame’s damage.
  • Increased FP consumption and lower duration of Ash of War, Barricade Shield.
  • Changed FP consumption timing of Ash of War, Prelate’s Charge.
  • Decreased the damage of spirit summoned when using the item Mimic Tear Ash and changed the spirit’s behavior pattern.

I'm sure there's going to be plenty of people raging about nerfs in a single player game where most people don't care about pvp.
