Elder scrolls online

I played the previous beta weekend and will be playing again this weekend just because it's free. Unfortunately the game is not for me though and I won't be buying or subscribing. I guess I was sort of expecting The Elder Scrolls VI with other players running around and ESO seems like just another MMO. Lag is pretty noticeable, so good luck if you're trying a melee character.

I'm not saying I didn't find the game fun to play, but not that much fun that I'd pay a subscription to keep playing.

+1

I've got a beta invite key available if anyone wants. First person to post gets it.

So what did you guys think?

I finally got to level 10 and gave the PVP a try, but met massive lag as soon as I approached a large group. I could move, but couldn't attack, gave up after that.

THe price on Elder Scrolls online is insane because of the rand/eur exchange rate!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also having to pay monthly subscription in EUR is going to be expensive

So do we definitely have to pay in Euro or is it not possible to pay in pounds (maybe through a proxy or something) because the difference is quite dramatic! I will consider the game if its about R150 a month but R200 is ridiculous!

I think we will be able to buy subscription services from US retailers soon enough maybe not at launch date but I think TEOS will go the same route as wow having gametime cards sold by other retailers.

I watched Angry Joe's review and thus far I am not impressed.

I also prefer to use monthly game time cards (did it with WoW) and so far it seems there won't be any for ES:O.

I have not really heard good things sofar - hit or miss?

The game is pretty enjoyable, but if the lag on PVP isn't fixed for us locals that part of the game is going to be unplayable.

Beta testing is on again this Friday the 14th.

Beta testing continues again on Friday the 14th. Download the approximately 600MB patch (US version) now if you tested the last time.

Correction - the patch turned out to be around 3Gig.

If you are interested you can wisper me ingame @Shir0u to be invited to the Grim Wolves ESO Guild.

Got stuck into it on the 5-day advanced access yesterday.

They've ironed out a hell of a lot of bugs since the beta I was in. It's even running smoothly when there are tons of people on the screen.

Now to see if it sticks with me. I hope it does because I dig Elder Scrolls.

So far i have been enjoying my time in the game, loving it so far and the story line and it was such a smooth launch yesterday.. no login problems or server issues.

Probably not a lot of interest so far. Only reason why its fun, is because its new. I think it will become dull very quickly. I still don't see why a subscription is necessary.

I find that I spend FAR less money on games that have a subscription fee than F2P games, so I'm actually all for subscription models for games that deliver.

That being said, I was struggling to see the longevity potential for ESO in the beta. I'm just hoping something grabs me in the higher levels. Either way, at least I get a limited edition Molag Bal statue to go with my Darth Malgus :)
