SO WHATS THE ISSUE THIS MORNING? oops, caps lock on but appropriate!

4 different sites showed can't connect to database, but it was resolved quickly, so not sure what caused it.
 
Is sh01-pta down again, I stopped receiving emails about an hour ago, and cant log into cpanel , it just times out?

I noticed that it went back up sometime in the early morning, I wonder what happened?

I'm glad to hear services started working again.

We didn't experience any issues during this time, could you please log a ticket on our Helpdesk (my.elitehost.co.za) so that we may assist further. It sounds like your IP was temporarily blocked on the firewall.

Does anyone have a telephone number or contact details for an IRL person at Elitehost, we moved our companies domain and website hosting over to them this weekend and something horrible has gone wrong, ive opened several tickets this morning but no one has gotten back to me, I dont think any one works sundays even tho they claim its 7 days a week.

This is the best way to contact them I could never get them on the phone. They do seem to monitor this thread! Good luck
 
I managed to contact them, they forgot to double check my mx records stayed in tack during a domain transfer, as a result we lost emails for half the day...

We are working on updating our migration procedure to take this occurrence into account.

There seems to be some issue this morning. Very slow loading times on my site and cPanel.

How about contacting their support department instead of reviving this thread the whole time? Maybe the problem is on your side, maybe not. The official support channels will assist you must better than a public forum.

Reviving this thread? It not like his necroing the reply before Deceptor was only 8 days old and still on the first page in the Hosting and cloud computer section... not to mention you can actually see that Elitehost responds here , its literally the comment above Deceptors.

Fact is, this is not the place to log support queries. The fact that they respond is great but I'm sure they will respond on their official support channels without people whinging on public forums first.

Nobody should post on forums because there are other ways to go about communicating. This hosting part of the forum should just be used to post about specials or price decreases. Or wait, that's what advertisements are for! This part of the forum shouldn't be used at all.

They had problems. They resolved their problems. This thread keeps showing up in search res.... sigh never mind I don't know why I am even arguing, doesn't affect my life.

It affects mine. I run a site that helps with choosing a host so the more info out there, the better. :)
