- VDSL?!
- no wonder it's slow, if they're using ADSL! And no wonder they need a R30 levy to pay for it! Wonder if everyone else's ADSL has slowed down during the day, since eNatis went 'online'?

"Some transactions are taking up to 45 minutes. Efficiency is down to about a quarter or less of what it was under the old system." Msibi rejected this: "Members of the public can rest assured that the system is working according to plan."

- hmm, makes you wonder what their plan was! To raise more revenue in fines for unlicensed vehicles and drivers?

On another note: I see people at Langlaagte are now saying they will "buy a fake licence" rather than go back! (news report on 94.7 @ 6:00am - sorry no link).
 
On a side note, I suppose the workers at the traffic centres (towards whom I hold no animosity, can you imagine how **** their life has been for the last few weeks?) are going on strike 28th May? That should be "fun, fun, fun!"

If you live near a traffic centre, make sure you looting and fire insurance is paid up.

I see she did not go to Langlaagte - that would have been an eye opener for her. Would have been a case of "need another Tshwane mayoral committee member.".
 
Why don't they just make every government service like application for an Id, drivers license, passport, liquor license, etc. accessible through the internet. They can mail it to you after a successful application or you can just pitch up for your appointment and immediately helped. I hate queues and I hate waiting!

The gap to which he refers is the gap between guavamint saying "it works fine" and the public saying "it sux piles".

Of course, what Koekemoer seems to be saying, is that it works fine and according to plan - and one can only interpret that as "it was always meant to be this slow".

A transaction at an ATM is more complex than that and you don't have to wait that long.

If the banks can handle all their transactions on old legacy Cobol sytems, wtf is wrong with your super-dooper-latest-technology-freee-and-open-source system Mr Koekemoer???

Its called "smoke and mirrors". If you (Koekemoer etc) continue spewing cr@p they think someone will believe them sooner or later.
