thank you so much, i really appreciate this AstroBusy trying to go through the horrible new website and see if by some miracle of science I can actually find the driver link for you, if not pm me and I'll ftp it to a website for you.
Seems the drivers are no longer on there site.
I'll upload for you and pm you a link.
have done that - I am sure it is all gone -
one question though - will i first install this software and then connect the modem as the modem obviously has its own software
Yes, also when you plug the modem in it will try and start the vmclite install, cancel that.

What Vodafone software are you using? VMC Lite 3.2.1 (on the modem)?
Or full version VMB 10.1.108 available on the Vodacom website?

ok, downloaded the software fully and installed it on my windows 7 pc.
seems i am where i started again, this is what i get now:
Mobile connection not possible.
- Set your current mobile device as the default
device in the 'Manage Devices' view
- Ensure that no other programs are using your
mobile device and try again in a short while
- Delete the device in the 'Manage Devices' view,
add it back again, and then try connecting.
If this error persists, please contact Support
at your mobile network operator.
Support information:
RAS error code 633
The funny thing is - that it is the default device, there are no other devices , but still get the above when i re-add it and try to connect
