Good morning MyBroadband Forumites. I would understand an Escom employee not willing to admit such here,
but could one perhaps PM me the contact number of the (likely out contracted) entity running Escom SMS alerts?
These alerts come in at all hours of the night and I would not mind receiving if it affects us, but mostly they pertain to other lines, while our line still works. The alerts used to mention the line which is down, but lately they do not. The reference number keeps changing with every SMS. I suspect the sender gets paid for each SMS sent and thus sends willy-nilly. A license to take money out of Escom's account. (Which is ultimately the taxpayers pocket.)
