eSim on MTN Website

Like to see if this worked for anyone?
I’m trying it now, will let you know

It will save me from going into a branch ..

I was there yesterday and they were offline what I waste of time ..

That is great news thanks.
I went into a store to get this sorted on Friday and it was a waste of my day honestly

After I saw this post I did everything and it worked perfectly

I appreciate this feed

How long did the swap process take?

And the new sim started working?
Yes immediately I tested it by trying to get an OTP sent to me but it went to the esim instead of the physical sim …

Physical sim stopped working like 10 minutes later …

This is a bit worrying, hope the scammers don’t find a way to use this as a new way to steal SIM cards and hence gain access to banking etc.

True … but they do however ask you to confirm some personal information specifically a picture of your face via your front facing camera, like they do at banks and stuff …

If that fails there are more information needed to confirm it’s actually you … so I think it’s not that bad …

It’s more safe than going in store if you ask me … by what I noticed

Anyone know whether you can have more than one eSim on an MTN account?
I currently have one for my Apple Watch, but want to convert my second work-SIM to an eSIM to keep on my personal phone (getting rid of the second work phone).

My primary/personal MTN number is a normal SIM

Yes you can do this

How does it work on apple if you want to link it to your watch?

I am awaiting the QR code to arrive on email and then I will load it on my phone.

Has anyone set up cellular on a watch before? Is it a matter of just linking the esim to the watch via the Apple watch app?

Is there still a cost involved when changing to a MTN esim?
