Eskom sets new load-shedding record

Eskom has implemented its longest uninterrupted streak of load-shedding since it first started rotational power cuts in 2008, according to data from EskomSePush.

The popular load-shedding tracking app posted a chart to Twitter showing the 15 longest load-shedding streaks to date, stating that Eskom had not suspended load-shedding in more than 450 hours.

We need the Cubans to come help us. Those comrades know how to deal with technology. They can keep a 1950s Ford or Chevy running. They must be good.

Thing is though, there is very little Ford or Chevy about those vehicles under the hood. Lots of them even have Soviet/Russian-imported diesel engines in place of their original Detroit muscle.

Which is why them fixing our military vehicles was a terrible idea, because while they may get things running, they are likely to be non-standard and hobbled together from bits and pieces.

The situation has led to President Cyril Ramaphosa cutting an international trip short to return to the country and reportedly meeting with the Department of Public Enterprises about a possible shake-up of Eskom’s board.

So the situation has gone nowhere...? He's back 2weeks in your country, yet...? Fantastic solution the SA Gov has. How's replacing the board going to solve the problem? Just asking. INCOMPETENCE is unreal.

These things take time brother, please be patient and do what you can to use less electricity. Thats the only thing that will stop load shedding.
