I would be so embarrassed for my people if other people have to come out of retirement because we are so exceedingly incompetent.

Would really be very, very sad.

Such a bad depressing take, could it possibly be that -some- people still value the success of the country to such a degree that they're willing to work for free regardless?

That seems to be the case, but hey, let's rather politicise it and shrug it off like a case of bad covid hat has to go to the place where the people that you don't like supposedly congregate.
Makes more sense right?

Foket bra, this is why "you" and your "ilk" will never get it...and the reason you'll never get rid of "white mentality"... 'cause it's a thing. And it's just better, always will be until you start doing the same.
De Ruyter has just explained why he cannot have pensioners working for free at Eskom, no matter how noble their intentions are. If they still feel like they have something to offer, go do it where you are wanted, simple as that.

Take them on in an advisory role

Have them educate the current crop

Have them assist as contractors

Have them do remote diagnostics

etc

etc

fsckn etc

Make it happen, its needed, the current crop is running us to the same cliff as the rest of Africa, fast.

So meeting all these other conditions are more important than supplying electricity.
Thanks now I know what Eskoms priorities are.
They cry sabotage but are indeed sabotaging themselves.
They can stick their please switch off messages where the sun doesn't shine.

Eskom can't bring back the skills to stop load-shedding — here's why

Eskom can’t simply accept the offers of 70 skilled pensioners to return to the power utility and work for free, chief executive André de Ruyter has said.

Responding to questions during a recent media briefing, De Ruyter said that they must consider transformation, liability, and accountability in navigating the offers from these retirees.
My F*k!

You are collapsing at record speed and you still want to sit there and think you are in the position to cherrypick who gets to help you when you cannot even help yourself…

You have all these guys sitting at home who know how to prevent power stations exploding yet you would rather deploy cadres whose best skill is to explode those power stations.
I get it - you have a burnt earth policy.
Anything to keep white people out of jobs, at the expense of whole of SA.

Instead of allowing anyone to work, and by that creating more job (SA can have cheaper/better electricity) which will help EVERYONE in SA, nah, fck it, whitey can't have a job. Must have BEE , highest unemployment in history about thanks to BEE etc.

#keepvotingANC.

Talk about being vindictive... rather see the country burn than having white devil work.

You have touched on something here that was my pet irritation with more junior IT engineers.
I kept saying. Walk through the server room from time to time. Look at the lights and listen..... Answer back was... We have monitoring. Dont need to do that
Same as any good mechanic can tell you. Even today with the most sophisticated cars its sensors are still pretty dumb detecting plenty of problems.
Human touch solves that.

I repeat, depressing view.
Not saying it isn't true..... but....
Living in a country where even wanting sacrificing your own time & effort gets met by this kak houding... *kots*

And then people wonder why a feeling of "white/indian power" takes hold over time, this is why, tjaaina.
Flip me off all you want, but 99% of people reading this knows what I'm talking about.

Eskom is being offered free experienced help while simultaneously complaining about a skills exodus. What a circus.

Ahem.. I link you to what our esteem Captain Squirrel said Read

“I don’t want white, young South Africans to leave the country. And if I could, I will tie them down to a tree and say don’t leave, I want you here in this country. So, I want all the skills.

So don't leave white devil, but fck you white devil, you won't work here...

Shows how lying scumbag he is too.

The MyCadre alt accounts are trying their level best to derail the focus of this thread by shifting it from the ANC's idealism, and their hand in forcing Eskom's moral dilemma , to religious insults,

What is the matter, MyCadres? Clearly, this is what you wanted, what you voted for, what you continually defend and what you are willing to die for :laugh:
