Awesome, only need 2 amps, I will ask a neighbour if he wants to borrow the other 810amps is 2400w, plus you'll only be limited in your load shedding session. So instead of 0amps you'll have 10amps

The meter is put where the existing Eskom meter is - It's outside your property in a locked box.
So you'll be shed when your neighbors have power
So you'll pay more and cut your nose to spite your own face... Wow okNo, I will run my Generator. I will likely have more power during loadshedding then.

Agreed. I can’t even think what I’d use a full ten amps for. Load limiting should be permanent. If you want more, fund it yourself. Taxpayers shouldn’t be funding your crazy current needs.Awesome, only need 2 amps, I will ask a neighbour if he wants to borrow the other 8

Unless you're an influencer?
I very much doubt you have a business to run given your utmost dedication to MyBB.Yes, I have a business to run. I work day and night. Do not have time for government games and uselessness.
And if those are fine then you have the next 20 seconds to troubleshoot. Assuming of course you manage to catch the notification immediately...Run around the house?? Go to db, flick the geyser switch, the pool switch and boom they are off.
But sure you can just not have any power if you so wish.

Jokes on you. I can blend in as one of the poor and get unlimited subsidised usage! The big problem, however, is that Eskom will need to implement a fixed starting rate of R6k for that 10 amps in order to service its debt. It will likely be 10 times this price if you take into consideration the poor that will get normal, unlimited usage at no costs which you will need to subsidize too since Eskom will probably no longer generate an income sufficient for paying half of its employees if this is made permanent as suggested.
Yeah I mean sure if you miss the first one an hour before your session, and the flickering of your lights just as your session starts...And if those are fine then you have the next 20 seconds to troubleshoot. Assuming of course you manage to catch the notification immediately...
And you would be using those during load shedding how?Geysers, oven, stove, iron, welder etc.
Some of us don't live in tent.
The coal: sitting there waiting to be turned into electricity.
civil servants/contractors: not doing what they're paid to do
electricity consumers: wtf, guys... where did our electricity go?
politicians: oh we're on track to end LS, don't you worry... we'll have updated promises in the run-up to the next elections
[several election cycles pass, IMF gov bailouts/loans contingent on not fixing coal-fueled supply, drastic price increases]
The coal: sitting there waiting to be turned into electricity.
electricity consumers: It's been decades. Can you not just fire whoever is not doing their jobs?
politicians: weeell... nah...let's give it another 5 years first, then we'll talk again
electricity consumers: Oh, alright then
IMF/WHO/WEF, to compliant gov: nearly there.... throw them a few more empty promises in the meantime.
politicians: Your wish is our command, masters. Ahem... Load limiting announcement.
Do you think Eskom will fix itself and loadshedding will be a thing of the past , or will loadshedding increase in the years to comeYes cause load shedding is 24/7 now? Load limiting will occur on stages 1 to 4 during your scheduled load shedding window, if you do not limit to the 10amps they switch you off. Also 10amps is still 2400w which is actually quite a bit still.
