I've always suspected their plan was to make this permanent and score some nice gravy upfront on the meters. Then at the end claim they've solved load shedding and we should all be grateful.

That's my worry. It's very easy for this to become 4 hours. Then 6 hours. Because hey, they still have some electricity.
