Eskom Stage 3 load-shedding until 10pm

We're scheduled to be off fro 2200, so I recon that won't happen since Stage 3 will then get downgraded.

Going to make a potjie, regardless :)

Looks like we're on stage 3b (or shall we say stage 4) in CPT, zone1 went off at 12:00.

You know what's the worst about all this? The freaking inconsistency and piss poor scheduling.

I never know when they are cutting power, despite all the lists and websites, municipalities don't seem to follow it something . So far it is like they just cut if whenever, and when you know in advance and prepare for it, then they don't cut it. How can you plan with this wishy washy nonsense?

/sigh.

Except Cape Town...

We can push all we want, but nothing will change. While the SACP and its running dogs drive the ANC's economic policy we're only going to see the State sector getting larger and larger.

The other hope is that saner minds come to power in the ANC. But I'm not holding my breath.

Unless you and a million others have the stomach and the commitment to revolution now, the most likely prospect is inevitable collapse followed by revolution. Either way, it's going to take another War of Liberation.

Given the past few weeks here, a wind farm would have kept the lights on in a few suburbs around pe
Driving home the other night we looked across the bay and the only lights burning in J'bay seemed to be coming from the turbines.

So when will the power generated by the Jbay wind farm be fed into the grid?
Next year, May 15 apparently - http://jeffreysbaywindfarm.co.za/about-jeffreys-bay-wind-farm/construction-process/

The wind farm site spans 3 700 hectares on which there are 60 wind turbines erected.
The project supplies the Eskom 132kV grid line and generates 460 000 MWh per year, supplying enough clean renewable electrical energy to power more than 100 000 average South African households.
