Eskom has announced that it will implement stage 4 load-shedding at 15:00 on 2 September 2020.

Stage 4 load-shedding will continue until 22:00 tonight, the power utility said.

What hasn't been stolen through corruption has been broken through incompetence.

Yeah, unfortunately the Mecer 2400 VA won't be able to handle areas that gets 4-8 hours a day, unless you have some solar panels attached I guess. Fortunately we never get more than 2 hours. Except when they break something, like this morning.

Nah it can handle 4 to 6 hours depending on the load, keep it low and you can get through it. But at 6 hours it's harsh. That's why my batteries died last year.

the problem is the 4 hours in the morning and then 4 hours in the evening. Not enough time to fully charge. Also no point in having an inverter if you only going to run a lamp.

But yeah. I guess if I only run my PC and one monitor and don't do graphic intense work, it should be fine. Although I will then rather invest in the solar panels..
