Eskom stage 4 load-shedding

Yup that was one of the issues last year :-( didn't get a chance to properly charge the batteries, cause at stage 4 we have days where we are off from 4 to 8, than the next morning we're off from 8 to 12? Than the following day we're off again from 4 to 8 and so on.

Flippen ridiculous. Sounds like what my in laws experience in the Easter Cape, never mind the water shedding.

Freaking corrupt.
 
Government needs to open up the Grid to both commercial and individuals to feed back into the Grid. The company i work for had to jump through hoops just to get a school which we sponsored to be able to feed excess electricity back into the grid.

But then again how are we going to give tenders to our comrades if we allow you to solve the problem. Professional thieves we have in power. And the idiots that put them there should not complain. If you are a ANC supporter reap what you have sowed.

Joke aside tho (or wishful thinking :)) , the WC needs to become independent with Koeberg, hydro, wave , solar and wind power already.
 
and here I was this morning debating if I should up my SOC on my battery bank because of it being overcast and thought nah, no load shedding for me today now moved to Stage 4 :(.

Just had to logon online and set the batteries to start charging but my load shedding for 4.5 hours starts in half an hour. Hope its enough time to boost the batteries.

I feel sorry for those guys who would have been smacked with schedule 2 this morning and with the shift to stage 4 get smacked again this evening

It can be said that a lot of the anc supporters don't get consistent electricity, if any, so lack of electricity is something normal for them, due to affordability, broken/stolen infrastructure, or load shedding. It even balances the social-economic equation where everyone is equally on the same crappy level of having no electricity.

Does the tv, mi box, router and laptop 11 hours - well that's the longest it had to run. They started the power cut early here so not sure how long it will be today. Went from stage 2 nothing to stage 4 from 16:00-20:30 but someone went what the heck at 14:45 sighhhhhhhhhhh

oh to top it off, if load shedding is overnight, there was midnight to 04:30 thrown in the mix as well.

I've pushed 10 hours once, but it was just running the TV and the mibox.
 
Stage 4 is essentially the same as Stage 2 for us, it's only if they go overnight that we would be impacted. PEs new scheduling is so much better now than it used to be.

Yesterday we had a 10 hour outage due to the weather so the new generator got a bit of a workout.

Panels generated okay today. But battery is fully charged and the whole house will run unaffected tonight when the grid dies. Our time-slot is 20:00 - 22:00 - batteries can go to 23:00, easily.
 
Is there a website where you can enter an address to find out the time ? Alternatively does anyone know under what Equestria Extension the Grove falls ?

If it's the same as the rest of Equestria.. then it's Group 2.. luckily we are not getting loadshedding for the rest of the day. (even with stage 4)

You should install the app _sePush. and then you can add your suburb to get notifications of loadshedding and view the timetables
