Esquire - poor service

Nonsense, you ordered the items online, did you call them and say I want to buy this Acer laptop and can you recommend which memory to buy to upgrade? No you didn't.

As soon as you brought it back the technician informed you they had have compatibility issues, take it up then with Kingston or Acer.

Money kept coming in....yeh Im sure Esquire are raking it in from selling a few memory modules.:erm:

I think that you need to read the first post. Esquire did not inform about compatibility problems "as soon as you brought it back", only after trying several units of RAM.

Obviously you very no to very little IT knowledge, but that is no problem.

It was not only a few units of RAM. According to the Technician it was a LOT of clients who returned and complained about the units not working. He suspected compatibility issues a while ago and reported it to management. According to the technician they did not believe him. This I saw yesterday.

So yes, kept raking in money while knowing the product was either Faulty or had Compatibility issues.

.

You are correct, I am indeed very no to very little IT

Yeh, they raking it in, because thousands of people are lining up buying old Acer laptops and upgrading them with incompatible memory. Esquire have a secret agenda to offload memory that doesn't work because they want as many agro and unhappy clients as possible, makes sense to me.

Good

I don't believe the OP could have had a better or worse experience with other distributors. Maybe slightly less bumpy (or more) but not much better.

+1 This could have happened anywhere.

Okay, let's quickly clear up something here. For the past 9 years we are looking after the systems of around 11 schools and 39 businesses. Late last year we replaced 75 computers in a school's computer center. We dealt via IC. As expected, 4 PC's had motherboard and RAM slot issues. I returned the boxes, had a fallout and then also left. Before I left the area I received a phone call from IC calling me back. The problems was solved.

Early this year we bought 275 laptops for a client. This was done via Makro. Again, we had issues with 2 laptops not working. After numerous visits and calls I also decided to stop doing business. Less than 2 days later Makro called me. They collected the laptops, replaced them and delivered the replacements the same day.

I can mention a number of problems I experienced with a number of services providers. However, Esquire was the first dishonest company. The only feedback I got from them was their reply on this forum.

That's that. No one will convince me else. No more dealings with Esquire for me or my clients. We will rather pay more and get better service than what I have experienced now.
