I set up the modem yesterday to connect via the ethernet cable, and
let Windows XP wizard set it up as a broadband modem. There are no other computers connected.

It worked fine, until this morning.

Now when I try and connect it says " the remote computer cannot process such a network request"

The usb method works fine

Any ideas whats wrong ???[?]

I had a problem with the same error message when connecting to MW with the ethernet cable. Mine appeared to be incorrectly set with a name in the "Service name". When I removed it, blanking it, the problem disappeared and I could connect.

I don't know if it is related to your problem.

Did you reset (power cycle) it when switching between the ethernet and USB? I normally unplug the external power, switch it off, and then plug in the external power again.

Wireless2, you said you got your modem yesterday. That makes me wonder if you are one of the Cape Town BETA testers [?][?][?]

Thanks
