Taking all the statistics in account, you are probably much MORE SAFE on a "no name brand" plane flying into a massive storm than driving home from work in South Africa....

or if it's the time to go for the person next to you and the plane goes down for itOn the topic of the safety aspect of flying -
1. I am scared of flying, but not to the point of having a phobia. If I want to get to certain destinations, I have no other choice.
2. I do not deny the importance of having an experienced pilot and good equipment in sterling condition. However, I am a firm believer in fate - if it's your time to go, it's your time .... it could even happen in a brand new plane.

They were 10-15K cheaper for our flights to Serbia, for 4 more hours it was worth it in this instanceHad a good experience with Qatar, but flying with them to Europe adds a ton of time to your travel.
