Look. I am the last person to think that people should be punished for the sins of the fathers, for every white person that made a killing under apartheid there is someone who struggled and was marginalized. Am not trying to diminish what you are experiencing or trying to say that collective punishment of white people is a good thing, but try and realize that this country was not solely built by white people, that blacks where royally f***ed over and maybe try and display a bit of empathy for people that you write off as greedy and corrupt. Because, if they are those things, it's because white people taught them too well....

I'm not responsible for the events prior to my existence no matter how you spin it and as I explained earlier I say we in reference to white people not necessarily including myself.

Sadly, you are most likely correct, most countries can absorb a certain amount of corruption, it looks like that line was well and truly crossed years ago in this country...

He's not correct, though. Running the country for <10%/20% (depending on time period) of the population, at the expense of the rest, is a lot easier than doing it for everyone. It was always going to fall apart tragically.

*usual disclaimer about the ANC also being corrupt and useless, etc. applies.

Ha ha. If you think that our ability to turn around and grow at the time in terms of existing know-how bolstered by international support for our economy among other things was in some way lacking or already set to fail then you're delusional. Obviously not without challenges but there's a right way and a wrong to go about it and with the rest of the continent as our gauge, predictably we chose the wrong way. Seems you're suggesting that a significant reason for our current predicament is that it wasn't all presented to the new regime on a gold enough platter? As opposed to the cluster**** that has followed?

I don't know what you mean by "you guys".

Nobody said that only white people built SA or that black people are greedy and corrupt.

But the ANC is greedy and corrupt, and the voting masses of South Africa have allowed the ANC to tell them that white people are the enemy.

Out of all people, black people are getting screwed the worst. The apartheid government screwed them over, and now the ANC government is doing the same - except for an elite few who are feeding in the trough. If you are a poor black person, you STILL have no education, no job, no housing, no service delivery, no electricity, you consider yourself lucky to get social grants (despite the best efforts of Bathabile Dlamini). In fact, while Bantu education was terrible, ANC education is even worse, which shows you how messed up the situation is.

Despite that, I won't sit around and get blamed for the status of the country because of the colour of my skin.
