Euro 2012 Thread

Its a decent team with the best thats available

actually you right with the players that Woy presented for the England team there isn't anyone better especially Rooney is suspended for the first two matches

If Kyle Walker was fit I would have taken him along with Ryan Taylor

Team lineup of:

Hart,

Johnson/Taylor, Jones/Cahill, Terry/Lescott, Baines/Cole, add Walker/Richards in there

Milnar, Lampard, Gerrard as an impact sub, Wilshere/Henderson (still reserve my judgement on this one), Parker/Barry, Young

Rooney, Sturridge, Campbell, Crouch

i cannot believe the silly english couldnt win anything with the players they have had available in the last 10+ years. the current crop doesnt instil much confidence.

Think England had their best squad in ages at Euro 2004, with a first choice team of James, Neville, A Cole, Terry, Sol Campbell, Gerrard, Scholes, Lampard, Beckham, Rooney, Owen.. They really should have won that tournament; considering they lost to a quarter-final penalty shootout to Portugal...who in turn lost in the final to Greece :erm:

Ah yes the tournament where greece bore all opponents into submission :D

That was the most pathetic Euro ever.

Hoping for some good exciting games this year, although I think a lot of the players are dog tired, its been a long season.

unless they go to penalties ... bwahahahahahaha

They haven't lost a penalty shootout since 1976 and between 1982 & 2010 they only missed one spot kick in all forms (shootouts & regular penalties). Just have to keep Schweinsteiger away to preserve that record.

Spain Squad: Casillas (Real Madrid), Valdes (Barcelona), Reina (Liverpool); Alba (Valencia), Albiol, Arbeloa, Ramos (all Real Madrid), Juanfran (Atlético Madrid), Pique (Barcelona), Marténez (Athletic Bilbao); Xavi, Andrés Iniesta, Busquets, Fábregas (all Barcelona), Alonso (Real Madrid), Silva (Manchester City), Cazorla (Villarreal), Navas (Sevilla), Mata (Chelsea); Llorente (Athletic Bilbao), Torres (Chelsea), Negredo (Sevilla), Pedro (Barcelona).

Looks like Holland and Germany racked up their first loss so far

I see the families of Walcott & OC say they are not going to the Euros after that skysports expose

Probably dumb question, but what Skysports expose ?

And just for interested sake who the guys supporting in the Euro's, or is everyone just going neutral and just watching for fun.

WRT to the whole Downing debate, I probably agree he shouldn't be in the squad. But on the other hand, you can't judge on how many goals and assists. How many goals could of been scored with Downing's crosses. But think he is going to be used more as a backup, than starting. And Carrol, like many people said he has shown more promise towards the end of the season. I can't use his age to justify his age in the squad, because Terry, Lampard and Gerrard. But he has a mean left foot and I am not his biggest fan, be lays the ball of his head quite well.

I am a England supporter by the way, but honestly think this is Germany's Euro's.
