Evetech - MIA??

So I've used Evetech before and I've had a few buddies who've also used them without issues as well.

But it seems they've really kicked the hornets nest since Black Friday - it would seem that they severely underestimated the demand and as a result are very understaffed.

However, my issue begins with me placing an order with them on Sunday evening (04/12/2016) and I immediately payed, unaware that they were currently experiencing issues. But my order status with them is still: "awaiting payment" and yes I did send through proof of payment, and this was FNB to FNB so it should have been instant.

Now what's really concerning me is that they are not responding to emails or answering their phones, and I'm not the only one. There are a few comments on their FB page that state similar experiences as well as one or two tweets on Twitter.

Now I know I might be jumping the gun here as its only been one working day since I placed my order (I did receive the automated order confirmation), but nothing?

Is their sales team MIA, or are they simply still working to clear the backlog from Black Friday?

I am rather concerned at the moment!

My brother ordered something from them on Wednesday last week, paid late in the evening...Next day he emailed them asking when he can collect...no response. Got an email from them on Friday (not a response to his email btw) saying it's ready...

So we go to their premises in Centurion, and holy cow they were busy...staff running around and it took them more than 15 min to find my brother's order (a single mouse).

So yes I'd say they're still working on the backlog.

Bought stuffs from them without any problem, but buying things during Black Friday might be a pain, just too busy

Thanks for the reply, that's somewhat comforting to hear.

Evetech should really send out some communication regarding the backlog they're currently working through. Even just an automated response, a message on their website, or even just a post on their Facebook page would go a long way to put people's minds at ease.
