I'm in charge of IT for a small company and have recently moved over to Openweb's uncapped 4mbps on IS fibre backbone for R2899pm from Telkom ISP.

So far so good in terms of the bandwidth quality, everyone in the office seems quite pleased.
I must make a special comment to MrBeeps from Openweb. His service was excellent and supported me through some teething problems I had in swopping ISPs and optimising my settings on the box here. He made the decision to move over very easy.

Great service! Thank you!

The more people there are like MrBeeps, the quicker SA will sort itself out in terms of telecomms..

Cheers

i agree. congrats mrbeeps! another happy client

i have been a happy openweb client for many years. i have my main isp acc through openweb and never looked back.

where on their webpage can i find the 4mb uncapped? i considered them last year, but they didnt have any packages that suited my needs.

Try WebAfrica out boet, you'll really be impressed then.

Dunno about that... i payed webafrica for a 1 gig account once, they take my money... account doesnt work. I phone them, they tell me i must fax (and only fax) a certified copy of my id before the account can become active... They claim INSTANT activation, yet it doesn't activate, so after some screaming they activate the account. I never had that issue with openweb...

I opened up a half month "uncapped" at 6pm on Friday the 14th of last month (to start on the 15th) and I had my username/password by the saturday morning, which was unexpected.... As I have said in another post, I have only used Openweb twice, but both experiences have not been bad ....
Until I have a bad experience or the prices becomes non-competitive I see no reason not to use them ....

Openweb rule. I never had problems. Spent a lot of money with them and it was the best spent on a ISP. Their prices are cheaper than Webafrica. just take the 2GB/28GB IS account. A R22 diffirence in price. which means after 5 months a saving of R110 which is quite a lot considering that its for the same account.
