Hi There,

I'm currently running Exchange 2007 on a Dynamic IP from our ISP (webafrica).

I receive my mails with a pop connector from our pop email hosting service. I can send mail to most domains. Including gmail, who doesn't even mark this a spam.

However, when I send an mail to some bigger corporates here in SA the don't get delivered and I don't even get a failure report as my Exchange Box's DNS name is not in my Domain's MX records by design. An example of a domain for which deliver fails is pinnacle.co.za.

Could anyone please shed some light or give some pointers as to where I can start looking to solve this problem.

Thanks

Which ISP are you using?

Try using your ISP's SMTP mailserver as your Exchange's outgoing mail server.

Not sure how to do this

Hi,

Did I do it correctly of I change the send connector's smart host to smtp.saix.net.

Web Africa is my ISP.

Thanks.

Using Saix is probably the best bet, especially if you are on DynamicDNS. I once tried the same thing with Exchange 2003 at my previous job, and a ton of mail simply got lost into the ether. When I set to Saix however, mail just worked with the exception of Yahoo.

If the account is on the SAIX backbone, configure your smtp connector to use smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net
