Expansys service?

I placed an order with them on the 17th Oct. On the 21st I got an e-mail stating my order should ship in 8-12 business days. It's going for day 14 and I haven't heard anything.

Has anyone ordered from them before? How long did you wait for your order?

Their communication seems lacking. I can stand the wait but would like to be kept informed on order status (like Order shipped from warehouse, order at customs) and at least a accurate estimate for shipping to my address.
 
Some people don't dig them but I got my Acer Aspire One from them just fine.

But they need to tell you what's going on here.
 
Can I ask a really stupid question here? Did you phone them and enquire as to the status of the shipment or email them? I don't mean to be funny, but with alot of these guys you really have to badger them until you get your product.
 
I think the point is you shouldn't have to do that.

They are the ones that should keep you, the customer, in the loop.

At least that is my expectation, too.
 
I've send two seperate e-mails yesterday and am still awaiting replies. I haven't phoned them yet. I'll wait till tomorrow and if I haven't received a reply to my e-mails I'll give them a call.
 
This is getting pathetic. Apparently there was a delay at customs and my order should have reached them on Thursday last week. Haven't heard anything so I phoned them today.

Now apparently their courier had lost and since located the box containing my item. I now have to wait another couple of days before they will hopefully ship to me.

Definitely not impressed! Total time since placing the order 25 business days.
 
My company used them too.

It took 3 months for the item to arrive!
They ignore e-mails!
And when the package did eventually arrive, items were practically destroyed, pins were bent, etc.

It wasn't too 'much' money so my boss didn't wanna drag the situation on, suffice to say, STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
A bit late now since I've already ordered. They do seem to ignore e-mails, or take 3 days to respond. I really expected better service than this.
 
Yeah, Expansys is not a company I'd rate highly on customer service. The order information is next to non existent on the website, so no hope of tracking your order there.

With my phone and accessories, it took almost 2 months to get the package. First it was trouble finding stock, then delays in shipping from overseas warehouse, etc etc. Eventually part of my order arrived, but not the main part. Called them, they said it had already been delivered. Had a big scene, eventually courier company found the parcel.

Overall, if you can help it, use other retailers where possible. Sometimes the cheaper price is not worth it.
 
In this case it was because they were the only people selling the device I wanted (without having to import myself).

I'll be holding thumbs that my order actually ships this week. If not I'll keep phoning/e-mailing them.
 
Ordered a cellphone battery off them in October and it took 3 weeks to get to me. Same story about them not having stock and having to order from their French warehouse or something.

Luckily I was in no rush to get my item, but if I was, I would have been royally pissed off.

Ordered a few months ago, items took a while to get here, but finally did get them & everything worked... I wasn't in a hurry for it either, so all was well...
 
To be honest I think they're messing up their service bad time. I ordered something with a request for it to be delivered door to door which I paid for (expecting ram couriers to deliver it only to find out It is shipped with speedservices counter to counter who send it to the wrong post office after a 2 hour trace from my side as speedservices didn't have a clue)

Trying to get hold of expansys is imposible as their phonelines seems allways busy and when it is answered by a computer then the requested service is busy and it just rings and rings and rings

No more expansys buying from me and I will tell whoever wants to know about them as well to stay clear of them

I must admit that I actually forgot about this thread. My item did arrive after a long delay. I'm happy to report that it was in perfect condition so luckily no problems there.

The times I phone Expansys I got through to them normally within 5-10 minutes of waiting. Not the best, but definitely not the worst.

Will I buy from them again? Maybe, if I can't source the product anywhere else. My main problem was the repeated delays. Each time a different obstacle seemed to have appeared.

Will I recommend them to others? Not likely, at least not without a severe warning about the possible delays.
 
I must say I had a really good experience with Expansys SA, and the person responsible for this was Jace.

I ordered a slingbox from them, they shipped, the courier messed up the order, I called them, they organized an overnight shipping at their cost.

I had the product 6 days (including weekend) after I paid for it.

I reckon their tracking is lacking, but I am one that uses the phone regularly and request updates, as I always want to be in the know.

Will I use them again? Hell Yeah!

Firstly, please allow us to clarify for you. As can be seen on our delivery page here - www.expansys.co.za/delivery.aspx - we reserve the right to use alternative couriers when required.

Due to the time constraints with our door delivery shipments and our normal door-to-door courier provider not being able to collect the parcels at the required time, we made use of an alternative courier, namely Speed Services.

Your parcel was shipped directly to your door on a 10:30am service with full insurance as selected. We do have a physical copy of the waybill to furher prove the above.

We do apologise that you are unable to get through telephonically, unfortunately we are working on skeleton staff during this period however the volume of calls has only decreased slightly, we do encourage users to e-mail in queries which are responded to within 2-24hrs depending on the time the query is sent through to us.
