Hi,

I am having problems with windows explorer addressbar, and have found this problem on several other XP IE addressbar`s.

Please Help, no help in google

OK, when as I am tiping an address in the addressbar, It just clears.

It takes about 7sec before it clears (Like on a counter, every 7 sec).

This is very irratating as I would like to tipe a network recource path which is long, or websites and then  GONE ??????

Does anyone have a solution?

What Anti-Virus Software do you use? Did you do a scan?

Why are you running two AV programs?

Does the address bar only disappear when you move your mouse away from the bar or does it disappear regardless of the mouse pointer position?

Hi,

Yes using avast and Nod32. Just a prefrence don`t know which one to uninstall.

Just installed FF3 was using FF2. But is working fine.

Running WIN XP SP2 as log indicates, with IE7.

The text (stuff you type in address bar) disappears regardless of the mouse at a regular interval.

Try this, In Internet Explorer Go to "Tools" >> "Internet Options", click on the "Advanced Tab", no click on "Reset", click again on reset to confirm.

Let ne know if that works.

Not really a solution to your problem, but you could type the address in notepad and then copy and paste it into the address bar, at least then you can get your work done. You can also type in the address in the "Run" dialog box, unless that has the same problem.

Ok, only problem is that by me it is only Windows explorer addressbar that is giving the problem.

Other people are haveing it in just IE or both IE and Windows explorer.

I am just doing a genaral enquiry to try and fix the whole problem. Don`t know what is causing it.

That I could do, but I want to get it fixed, I am currently doing that or just typing very fast to beat the reset off the address bar.

It is just getting irratating now

I might sound like a real n00b here but trying to help..

Delete all your cookies, and internet history...
Then Run Search and Destroy.
