That's quite rude. No ADHD that I'm aware of. I've always got something next to my bed that I'm working my way through.

You seem to make a lot of assumptions about people. Don't even wait for a response. It's not really a civilised way to carry on a conversation. I imagine most people would politely excuse themselves after a response like that.

Someone isn't prepared to waste nearly 4h on a topic they have at most a passing interest in and suddenly it's a concentration issue.

Anyway my rather presumptuous friend. Take it easy.
Besides that, this person does not understand what ADHD is or how it works.

There are a few problems with the "everyone carries a cellphone camera all the time these days, but no one has snapped a ufo" proposition :

- most of those people are literally looking down, (not up), with their faces glued to their screens
- cellphone cameras are pathetic at picking up ufos. It is extremely rare for a ufo to come down close; every one i have photographed i would estimate 3-5km in altitude. They look like just a tiny (but very bright) dot to the naked eye. You need a powerful zoom camera like a nikon p1000 to achieve the photos i get. I have a superzoom camera myself called the canon powershot sx60. My ufo photos were taken at a zoom factor of on average 210x.
- if you did try take a photo of a ufo with a cellphone camera, it would look like just a vague, tiny dot against the blue sky. Then, if you were to post said photo online for others to see, all you would receive is criticism along the lines of "Wtf is that? Looks like you placed a grain of sand against a piece of blue paper"

Plenty of people in ce-5 groups are using their cellphones though, as not many people own powerful zoom cameras.
I've seen no shortage of phone camera footage of tiny moving dots in the sky
Where are the every day reports of UFOs? Why is this not newsworthy? Or is there a global conspiracy that successfully pushes all this news down. Hell, that's amazing they can coordinate this all across the globe all at the same time.

Yes. Or interdimensionals. But an extraterrestrial can also be interdimensional. Some ufos are actually biological beings themselves and not "craft" at all. I talk about these ones in my presentation here :

If they are interdimensional, why are they not walking amongst us. They sure as all hell can't be scared of us if they can travel between (unproven) dimensions?

All of these batsh*t theories like flat earth always fall back on the global conspiracy thing, it's their catch-all answer to any kind of common sense questions that they don't have a response to.

I lived in Cape Town for 40 years, am an avid outdoorsman and loved photography. Took thousands of photos from Cape Point to Helderberg Nature reserve and beyond.

Have I seen UAP's (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena)? Yes, 100's
Do I think they were alien/not of this earth? No, most could be very easily explained if you do a little digging.

Problem is with Confirmation Bias, if you want to see aliens, you will. The photos posted earlier looked more like some stray party balloons to me than anything alien.

Why you commenting if you only have a passing interest? Seems you are rather invested to take the time for such a response.
I find his way of viewing the world, and the scientific method, quite fascinating. If you look back you'll note that most of my comments have been about that, and not the aliens themselves.

I couldn't give 2 stuffs about all this whacky taking of drugs and contacting aliens rot.

Do a quick google search on "ufo sighting <news outlet of your choice>"
Dude, there are literally hundreds of such articles. You can't exactly blame me for the fact that you likely have never taken an interest, let alone performed a search for such a thing.
Sounds like you're living under a rock. Literally hundreds of articles out there just like this one :

Where did you get the "taking drugs" part from? Sounds like you fabricated that one from a brain fart

Which party balloons, exactly? What make, what model, what is it supposed to be (a letter, number, etc)
Identify the exact balloon, otherwise you are also using your own confirmation bias to weakly conclude that they are "balloons"

That's funny, because while i absolutely believe in alien life (who wouldn't, considering the staggering mathematical certainty with quadrillions of stars), i absolutely do not entertain any idea of "flat earth".
But that's the problem with your thinking - you think you can lump all "conspiracy people" under the same umbrella, incorrectly assuming they all believe in the same conspiracies.

My pop-psych theory is that people struggle to observe things without labelling them. They see something inexplicable and in the absence of anything to map the experience onto, they adopt the stories other people have conjured to account for their own experience. So now they've coupled their experience to someone else's narrative and any attacks on that narrative are conflated with attacks on their own experience.

The reports in the Daily Mail are all sightings of lights and do not describe a physical object in any way

I said the Daily Mail report was of objects, not some other publication

Why do you need to be so rude?

Not my fault you are narrow minded.

Haha. Dude sorry. Interdimensional beings (not proven); UFOs with aliens on who are scared to visit our planet properly. Could help build the pyramids but nothing more.

Pull the other one. You also a flat-earther and anti-vaxxer?
