F1 2008

Nicest thing about this race was that after the crash with Lewis and Kimi i heard lewis's name maybe 3 or 4 times not in every second sentence!
I totally agree with you. I got so p!ssed off at James Allen in the early part of the race. He doesn't even try to hide being engrossed with the guy anymore. He made it seem like it was 'Hamilton VS The Rest'. "All Lewis has to do now is this and that (orgasmic pleasure)."

yup, if it wasn't so irritating it would be comical.

Lol - let's rename this thread Mclaren something or other. McLaren needs it's own thread AFAIK

He's british, what did you expect?

Oh it is expected alright, Murray Walker carried on in a similar fashion with Mansell and Hill.
This chop though takes it all to new levels.
Being a brit, jammer om van sy k@k te hoor.

Bull:sick:. Kubica isn't driving the best car but he sure is talented.

Agreed - Kubica is talented alright... not many guys would be where he is in the same car... and like Hamilton last year, he's proving you don't have to win races to lead the WC although it helps.

yea the difference between kubica and hamilton is this

put kubica in the best car like hamilton was and he will win the world championship

the supersport guys where saying, is it the start of the hamilton era

i think if kubica moves to ferari or mclaren or bmw get on par with those 2, you will see the era of kubica

kubica has so much talent its scary, he makes hamilton look like a rookie

he does not make stupid mistakes, he drives the socks off that bmw which is no doubt slower

the mark of a true legend is his ability to win and drive a slower car into good poistions which kubica is doing

hamilton is being overshadowed by kubica who i can tell you right now is better than hamilton

the only difference is kubica never landed with his arse in the butter like hamilton did

cannot wait for the rest of this season, i really hope bmw take their car and put it in that big tunnel of theirs and get on par with the other 2

I think it's not that easy to assume Killa, of course you have your opinion, but you know as well as I that Kubica doesn't have the pressure that Hammi/Kimmi/Massa have being in the 'fastest' cars... it's always easy to speculate. Apparently no-one this year has had their backside in the butter but Ferrari has come the closest (with the fastest car on most circuts), and like McLaren, they both trail.

Killa That's a massive assumption considering last season the reigning world champion driving the same car as Hamilton came 2nd....

brad we will see in the future but mark my words, when kubica gets in a top car that compete on just about all tracks he will be world champion

he wont make silly mistakes because he has experience driving a worse car which makes you a better driver because you need to push harder and do things the car does not seem capable of

this is something hamilton missed out on and i have stated since he joined F1 that is the reason he will never be world champion

im really hoping bmw do some testing and find that little extra because kubica could win this world championship if his car could go a tiny bit faster :)

finally i may have a new driver to support, it has been a long time since i have felt this way about a driver, in fact not since senna died

alsonso also never liked the mclaren car in all honesty, the team never supported him as the no1
he was unhappy

dont think for one second that i think hamilton's first season was amazing, kubica would have won the world championship in that car

now hamilton is in a car that is a little slower than the ferrari's and is doing fairly well

kubica is in a slower car than both mclaren and ferrari and yet he is sitting on top of the championship in the 3rd best car

i think we all know who the most talented driver in f1 really is

More assumptions. try stick to the facts that being since joining Mclaren Hamilton has been the best performing driver for them...

yup he has been

still dont think he will win a championship for a long time

ppl who start at the top in f1, what F1 legend ever started at the top?

the guys i know since i have been watching who i think are legends

senna
shummi
alonso
jaques villenuive (spelling)
hakkenin

none of them started in the top f1 team as far as i know, they all had to start in slower cars and build their way up

it teaches u to fight, it teaches u to be composed, its makes u less arrogant

maybe im wrong and hamilton will become a legend, but legends are made by driving home slower cars, then moving to a bigger team and winning championships

this is my view on hamilton

its not that i dont think he is talented, obviously he can drive but he has never really had to fight as hard as he would have to being in a slower car

Life's to short to work your way up driving for slower teams. Besides drivers in the past have had to prove themselves driving in the slower cars before being scouted by the top teams. Mclaren have known of Hamiltons pedigree since he was 9, they've invested in him and they not going to let him drive for any other team other than team Mclaren-Mercedes... He will be a f1 champion, he will dominate the sport and you will see a Hamilton era in F1... How does a man qualify .6sec quicker than the closest rival on one of the most challenging circuits in F1 if not thanks to shear brilliance? He was 1.2sec quicker than his team mate in qualifying. In F1 that's weeks!!!

sandman, u know that heiki was filled up and hamilton was running light

heidveld was filled up and kubica was running light

the team chose to do this incase of a safety car and look where heidveld finished

dont blame heiki for having a full tank of gas while hamilton was light

obviously there was 1.2 gap

aggg but we will see hey

Doobie - you forgot who JV drove for...
Following two successful years in CART, Villeneuve moved into Formula One with the front running Williams team, alongside Damon Hill. In his debut season, Villeneuve challenged Hill for the title, winning four races and taking the fight to the final round in Japan. But the Canadian retired and Hill won the title. Villeneuve, however, did win the following year's title, this time challenging Michael Schumacher and once again taking it to the final round in Jerez. In the race, the two collided, resulting in Schumacher's retirement and subsequent disqualification from the 1997 World Championship, with Villeneuve going on to take third place, and the title.
