F1 2011 thread

RedBull always holds back in the practise sessions, so that's what happened to Ferrari. Amazing laps from Webber and Hamilton. Tomorrows first few laps is going to be intense. Rate Webber's going to lose his lead at the start then the battle between Alonso, Vettel and Hamitlon will start :D At least will be able to see what Vettels made of :)

Yeah, for one he's going to have to rely on his race skill instead of his car.*EDIT* seems he's a touch out of practice....

LOL @ Martin Brundle... we're disqualifying the top 3 he he he.
Webber bringing Alonso in (out of fuel), Hamilton mingling in the crowd.

What a race, the top 3 had to work for their place.

Ferrari lost 4th for Massa (such a shame). Massa drove the race of his life. Vettel just couldn't get it together in traffic.

That was another stunning Hamilton performance. It was fun to hear Domenicalli and Whitmarsh having a chuckle together at the end. 3 wins for anyone in the top 4 and 3 Vettel DNFs and it's no longer a 1 horse race. Not likely but hey, wouldn't it be nice?

Awesome stuff, vettel must have had some issue to be so slow.

Let's hope this continues so the championship can close up. Hamilton looking like old ham again, although his interview did not seem like a happy one. You would think after driving the race of your career you would look happy :p

What a pleasure it is to watch F1 again. DRS, KERS, etc. is making it a viewing spectacle once more.

I still don't like DRS, and I still rue the fact the Vettel's led nearly 80% of all the laps this season, but that was a great race to watch. The front three showed their class today, fighting tooth and nail without smacking each other of the track. It was superb.

:wtf:

He looked very near overcome with emotion, 'tis all. Understandable given the flack he's taken over the last couple of months.

It's called traffic lol. Qualifying first and racing in the pack are two different things. To Vettel's credit, he would be out of touch given the number of wins he has had from pole this season.

Great race. Pitty about Vettel, but suppose you cant win them all :P Hope what ever his problem over the weekend was gets sorted. And lols at Alonso not even attempting to block Hamilton on the outside in turn 2. As for Webber doing his best to stop Vettel at the start again, costing him a place. Good driving today by Hamilton just a pity the top 3 didn't battle it out more.

Enjoyed that. That's what it's about. 5 laps from the end and anyone of the podium finishers could have won.

Naaa normally he has a fat smile on his face, thanking the team and what not. He almost looked like he was scared of saying the wrong thing. I have a feeling things are not so rosy between the ham and mclaren. I will be very surprised if sees out his contract with them next year which he should because they are the reason he is in F1, supported him big time and i hope he shows the same level of support.

Vettel will make a come back, he cannot dominate every race.

Tolly. Either that, or you saw a different interview to the one I did.
