How is hamilton basically asking if there is any point racing. Get's told yes safety car will be out push you bloody rookie nooblet. Safety car deployed. Mclaren must release hamilton early and take on a driver who is keen to race regardless of the position they find themselves.

What was brilliant by hamilton? Getting lucky with a safety car and passing people on old tyre's? His drive was hardly brilliant. Anyways it never looked amazing to me, he passed cars 4-6 seconds slower than he was.

Oh please, 5th after all that happened to him is an great achievement. 1 place down from his grid position and he even almost caught up to Alonso. I would say that's pretty amazing. That's thing he does best, overtaking. What about those high speed passes around that bend he did earlier in the race, very exciting.

Meaning if there hadn't been a safety car he would have not got 5th. I actually enjoy Hamilton I enjoy his "driving style", but you have to be honest the safety car period saved him today...

Everyone benefits from a safety car scenario expect the driver leading the race... Hamilton came into this race with 3 sets of tires and a drive thru so 5th place is pretty useful...

Safety car helped yes, but everyone benefits from it, that's racing. Would he have got 5th? We'll never know.. but stuff like that happens all the time. Why isn't Massa higher up?
 
Another thing.

MSC was only given a reprimand for his stunt on Perez, yet Hamilton was given a penalty for tapping Massa. Is that because Perez wasn't affected much whilst Massa was? MSC's crash seemed much more worthy of a stricter punishment. I suppose his punishment was retirement though..

edit: Just remembered, Perez was affected, my bad. (puncture)

That's easy Massa is useless he has had his time. They should boot him and put in a younger driver who could learn under Alonso.
 
I don't doubt his pedigree(this season i don't see any pedigree though) but i didn't see anything amazing today other than over taking slower cars, much much slower cars. I mean 4-6 seconds slower is insanely slow. Those other cars were all racing each other which gave hamilton the opportunity. The safety car was always expected, the mclaren oke had to tell him over the radio that his race was not done.

It was a good drive to finish 5th but nothing amazing, i have seen him pull off some amazing races in previous years but not today. I am not sure how good you have to be to over take cars 4-6 seconds slower with little grip. It's like over taking an hrt or lotus but anyhow as mentioned i won't see this drive as amazing because it wasn't in my opinion :D. If you guys think it was amazing that is fine but i have seen an amazing hamilton drive many times but this won't go down on his list of top 20 amazing drives.

I can tell you why massa was not higher because the ferrari was horribly slow today on any tyre, not sure why but boy it was bad and mclaren had a really good car today. Hamilton's penalty was purely because massa's race got wrecked, can you really say that was not hamiltons fault? It was not a race incident it was classic hamilton this season and it wrecked massa's race, whether he would have finished any higher who knows. I would like to know though if massa never picked up the puncture would hamilton have been punished? i doubt it as stopping for a new wing would have been punishment enough i guess. There was no conspiracy against hamilton today, he did something stupid and got punished.

He can drive well sometimes, sometimes better than Alonso.. but yes i'd agree. They'll probably replace him in 2013.

Okay fair enough, opinion respected. I stand by what I said though :D He should have never hit Massa though, he needs to work on his collision avoidance skills :D I guess it's tough when you have some slow Ferrari POS in front of you :D
 
Crash Kid strikes again :D Well done to all. As for Schumi running into Perez, thats 50/50 call, if you watch the video it looks like Perez braked early and Schumi had very little room to try and get past on the right.
