Predicting a strong showing from Mercedes, McLaren and Lotus due to the long straights. Although McLaren might be at a disadvantage due to a lack of fast corners. Hope it's as exciting as last year :)

Or that they didn't decide that a hole (illegal) and a slot (legal) are actually, the same thing after all...

Was planning on going to the Monaco GP next year but i'm having second thoughts if it's going to turn out like this years. Might as well just go for the location right? :)

Going to a GP you're unlikely to see much of the action first-hand anyway; you go for the sensory experience. In that sense Monaco is the one to go to, as you'll see the cars pass by 78 times - more laps than any other GP. The cost will sting though I'm sure...

Yeah I guess that's right. I have Silverstone next month so that will probably be my fix of 'track action', but Monaco is nice even just to say you've been there for the F1. Then you get all the other 'after the race' action :D

So disappointed in Maldonado dirty tactics. Respect for Williams otherwise I wish he earns no points until he realises his mistake.

Well there you have it guys. Illegal.

Red Bull RB8 floor declared illegal by FIA

The FIA has declared Red Bull's RB8 floor to be illegal following complaints from three teams in Monaco last weekend.
The decision means Red Bull will be forced to change its car prior to the Canadian Grand Prix next weekend.

Should have be disqualified from those 3 races they ran it at, like Sauber last year in Australia... but I guess this is Red Bull we're talking about..

I don't think they should have been disqualified, the FIA stewards had declared it legal at the races and the FIA have since clarified the rule. There are lots of ambiguous rules in F1 and if the teams can exploit them, they will. It is up to the FIA to declare whether any interpretation of the rules is legal. Red Bull shouldn't be punished because of the ineptitude of the FIA in making timely decisions.

Okay fine, I understand. I'm just very anti-Red Bull :p

FIA really needs to sort themselves out.

+1
They are always going to want that little bit of grey to allow them to manipulate things for the 'good of the sport' in their opinion in my opinion
I see what you did over there over here :p

It must be difficult though to setup rules and then enforce them, considering there can be so many designs.

I don't think regulating it is as easy as we think. Look at mclaren's nose compared to most of the cars totally different yet legal. That doci i saw on williams leads me to believe they can bring a new design every race, if they find a bit of performance they fabricate and go. Incredible process actually.
