F1 2012 thread

This has to be one of the most racist sports on the planet. Only 1 black guy involved in the hole of F1. Too many whiteys in this sport.

Plenty of black cars... and all the tyres are black too.
Also, black and white have identical representation on the chequered flag.

I disagree. Process of natural selection. Blacks are not interested in motor sport. Soccer 1st and foremost.

My take is UWS is most likely a white racist and just stirring. Anyone else?

People have been moaning for years that F1 is boring, no overtaking, processional races, the championship is decided by mid-season etc. Now, when everything is in place, people still moan because it's too unpredictable, tires are are governing the results and it's rigged. The FIA surveys that I participated in asked all the fans what they wanted. Now they have it. If its still not good enough, change channels, switch off the brain and watch NASCAR.

Nice one!

Seriously to the @#$%^& troll who writes this!:

There are less black people in the sport because of their interest in it. Which African countries (let's leave out South Africa for now) have properly established motorsport programmes. Serious enough to actually produce graduates who will move on to upper series? Hamilton having excelled in his earlier development has given him his deserved spot on the grid. Any more Hamiltons in the pipeline will also make it through just like he did.

There are a lot of white people in the sport because that is where it started and has been centred. How many white people do you see in Africa Cup of Nations you dumb moron. Its not a racist sport. Its just a sad reality that today it does not have enough people from different backgrounds.

My Silverstone tickets are at Farm curve.. hope it's decent.

Farm Curve is taken flat out and is followed by the very slow Village Corner. You should see some overtaking action there. You should also be able to see the cars taking Abbey at near insane speeds.

NASCAR is actually exciting. I'm guessing you've never watched it if you bash it. Lead changes are frequent and those cars are ''alive''. it's not uncommin to see a lead car come in for a pit and suddenly go backwards, then come back in and make another change and surge forward again. NASCAR is one huge strategy fest. You have to decide if you're gonna change two or four tyres. you have to watch your fuel mileage - many a time a guy has taken a gamble and run out of fuel with the chequared flag literally within sight. You can set your trim levels mid-race to better run in traffic. Watch a race at Talladega or Daytona where you get 3 cars wide through a corner at 300 kays an hour. Watch two cars sit bumper-to-bumper in a push-pull effect and you appreciate how brave those guys are.

It's not a bad sport at all.

Nascar is great... when it's not on an oval IMO. I like to see drivers work those machines. They are even better live.

Awesome thanks, so looking forward to it :)

I don't have any problem with more than one team competing for the championship. Just seems a little overdone this year with basically a lottery-effect.
