F1 2013 thread

It's a team sport agreed but it is also a racing sport, so naturally you race. Vettel isn't a ***** who will sit back and take orders. He is a 3 time world champion and he showed it today. You go and race to win.

Hamilton and merc boy yea if f1 becomes like that we may as well watch paint dry.

You don't race once the ones paying your multi-million Dollar salary have told you not to. Go watch the podium interviews again, actually listen to Mark and Hamilton, and then go read the dreck you spewed here again. Vettel needs to be brought down a couple of pegs.

I'll not engage on the matter with you further.

Team orders are bull****. If you're the slower driver on the day why should you finish ahead...?

When the team orders Webber to move over, Vettel doesn't fight it.

Well if webber is out of the running for a championship he should move over and vettel would do the same. When it's the second race of the year you race.

Redbull lie and say we let our drivers race then get mad when they do LOL. Hamilton looked shocked because he knew should not be up there.

Well sinbad some people haptic believe after the first lap all the car should hold position in case they crash. I don't think he understand that f1 is about racing, it isn't about sitting behind cars because you are told to.

Team orders suck. However, if they are applied, I think that it should be a two way street. The impression I get is that Vettel only obeys team orders when they benefit him.

So much drama :D

Shows some things this race.

Vettel is a twat (which we already knew)
Ross Brawn sucks

Respect for Rosberg certainly increased though.

There's too much money involved for it to ever be free of team orders, so the best one can hope for is transparency. Given that, take into account that Webber had already been instructed to cool off & bring the car home, and then dickbag Vettel bombs past from behind?

The intricacies are clearly a little bit too much for some here to compute.

The guy is defending a championship, not attending primary school where they all win... If he starts following team orders, I'm going to start watching NASCAR rather than F1...

Interestingly enough f1 is about racing and viewers want to see racing, viewers are the reason f1 exists. Start losing the racing part of f1 and people won't want to watch and that is what you miss.

You've shown that you don't understand things; there's no need for you to continue expressing your inability. Really.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out

Too early in the season this crap, Nico should have taken Hamilton, glad vettel did what he did. F@*k the system, still sad for webber though, raced a good race.

Cheers then

Classic, hate Vettel feel sad for Rosberg. If that was Massa ahead of Alonso it would have been another day at the office on both sides. Mark has never listened at team orders but now he criticizes Vettel!? Then of course Red-Bull screwed Vettel over with the strategy and told to hold station while faster than Webber? GG, if Red-Bull was like Ferrari or Mercedes this wouldn't even have been an issue.

These two happy dudes finished 1st and 2nd:

Lol @ Vettel "Please move Mark over, he's slower than me"
Seriously?
BWAHAHAHA

Nice to see Mercedes up there challenging for podium.

Fk team orders, hamilton i hope you know when you sit up on that podium you are undeserving of it.

It was easier to let hamilton allow the better driver to pass him and then limp home. Why must rosberg take a second seat when they are both as good and as each other. The slower car should be the one that sits behind not in front.

Pathetic hamilton and pathetic team.

Anyone who has ever question vettel must be wondering why they did. Race FFS it's f1.

LOL! So what did you think of Vettel asking the team to move Mark over for him then? Team orders work for him when it's convenient.

Vettel said:
Lap 28: 'Mark is too slow. Get him out of the way,' is the order from Vettel referring to his team-mate. 'We're only half way. Be patient, Sebastian,' is the response.

Lap 29: Webber responds to Vettel's jibe by extending his lead to Vettel by 1.7secs. It's Vettel who is now under threat from Hamilton, with the Mercedes driver just over one second adrift.

As for Hamilton, that was never his call, it was Ross' call. I don't recall him pleading to keep Rosberg behind him. He did acknowledge Nico should have been on the podium instead of him.

And Vettel vs Webber after the last pitstops, Webber had no reason to believe Seb was going to challenge him and turned engines down as per orders from the pit wall. Seb just took advantage.

Lol @ Webber on the podium "Seb will have protection as usual". :D
No doubt.

As for Alonso, that was not clever and it could have affected a bunch of people's race, not to mention put his own life on the line. Personally I think they should give the call to force him to pit to the race director. You shouldn't be allowed to race with a dodgy car that can threaten everyone else on the track.

You missed Hamilton going to say Hello to his old team, so funny!!

Highlight of the race :D
