Quickly becoming my new fav driver... it's hard to not like a guy who smiles all the time. IMO time for another Aussie WC.

One hour to go :)

So hoping that Nico and Lewis fight it out and someone else comes to the [arty.

Based on Quali, and Nico's lap, unlikely though. Never thought Canada times would get to that of Monaco but they did.

Aaaaanyway, hoing for a lekker race !!!

I think of nico can get a good start pulling a few seconds on Lewis then Lewis will have a hard time passing him.

Yeah, the question is who handles the car better on a full tank.
Which side is the better side to be on at start?

Newey agrees new deal with Red Bull

Red Bull has confirmed a new "multi-year" deal with Adrian Newey, thereby ending speculation linking the design guru with numerous rivals.

Interestingly, as part of the new agreement, Newey will work on new Red Bull Technology projects, as well as advising and mentoring Red Bull Racing as it develops its F1 cars over the next few seasons. The details of the new projects will be announced in due course.

Newey joined Red Bull at the beginning of the 2006 season as Chief Technical Officer. In 2010 the team won its first Drivers' and Constructors' World Championships; the Austrian-owned team has retained the titles ever since, winning both Championships again in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Prior to joining Red Bull, Newey had won Constructors' Championships with Williams and McLaren and the ten titles in total, thus far, make him the most successful designer in the history of the sport. In addition to the fact that he is the only designer to produce championship winning cars for three different teams he has also produces cars that won the 1985 and 1986 CART titles.

They bagged him, and what an awesome record he has, the man is a technical legend.

That's the spirit! Don't be a fair-weather supporter! Funny how the Ferrari supporters are so quiet these days :D

Has Charlie Whiting pushed the Merc kill switch? Both running slowly?
Looks like they will be overtaken before the end of the race at this rate.

The conspiracy theroist in me thinks this is software sabotage in favour of a closer race.
It's no biggie for the mercs to have a bad race, but for the Hamilton / Rosberg race it matters who ends up in front.

Good on Hamilton for giving Rosberg the position back when they touched. Sucks to be Hamilton right now. As I predicted... first incident between the two mercs. Just a pity Rosberg gets the advantage again.

Now time for Rosberg to retire.
