F1 2014 thread

Senior management and the drivers met after the race and Hamilton said Rosberg had admitted to causing the accident to prove a point.
Whining? If that's the case he has every right to 'whine'.

Wolff can be forgiven for his issue with the whole thing though. Lauda... well he had a point about a 2nd round incident being a bit amateurish, but I don't always agree with the guy.

As for Hamilton, I think he was misunderstanding Nico's 'admission'. I believe Nico's admission was nothing more than a commitment to race and he wasn't going to back down, hence he held his line - or did it 'for a reason' not necessarily crashed deliberately.

For one, I'm thankful for two drivers who are team mates and prepared to give each other nothing in their chase for the title. F1 needs more of that.

MOAR I say!

Lewis should do his talking on the track. Fussing like a child after the race while Rosberg is racking up the points doesn't help his cause.

Old timers.

If that was reverse they would have been nodding heads.

What?

Do you even know who they are?

Lauda is non-executive chairman of the Mercedes F1 team, Wolff is the Executive Director and Team Principle of the Mercedes F1 team, shareholder in Mercedes Grand Prix and the Executive Director of Mercedes Benz Motorsport.

Hardly just "old timers", I'd suggest their opinions and experience hold more weight than any of us just posting on the internet.

A dislike for a driver (for whatever reason or reasons) shouldn't make you post nonsense...

Magnussen loses points after Alonso incident penalty

McLaren’s Kevin Magnussen has been handed a 20-second post-race time penalty by the stewards in Belgium for forcing Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso off the road during the closing stages of Sunday’s Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps.

The incident occurred on the penultimate lap of the 44-lap contest as Magnussen, trying to defend fifth place from Alonso on the approach to Les Combes, edged the Spaniard onto the grass.

The stewards immediately announced an investigation and, having heard from both drivers and examined video evidence, determined that Magnussen was at fault.

“The driver of car 20 [Magnussen] was defending his position on the straight between turns 4 and 5,” read the official stewards report. “A significant portion of car 14 [Alonso] was alongside car 20. The driver of car 20 did not leave enough space for car 14 and forced the car off the track.”

The penalty drops Magnussen from sixth to 12th place, denying the Dane his best finish since the season-opener in Australia and lifting Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg into the final points-scoring position of tenth.

Of course on MyBB no matter what happens, Hamilton will never be liked...despite him being supported by everyone including the only ones who matter...the team management. Despite him never doing something like that to anyone else on purpose, let alone his team mate on the 2nd lap.
When black guys are good at something , they shouldnt have a 'chip on shoulder'...they should just keep quiet and do their job...perhaps only sing a few slave or mining songs while they are working.
