I think he may still end up at Ferrari. I think Merc will try to get Charles to eventually replace Lewis, possibly for 2024 if he sees out his current contract. Toto has been talking him up recently. That would be the only big seat available in the next few years. I know he has a long term contract but there are break clauses in that we may not be aware of (like when Seb left RB for Ferrari).

If Lewis had to call it a day after this year, Seb would be a good stop gap.
Seb's biggest mistake really was leaving RBR. Could have possibly had 5 WDCs to his name.

#bringbackmasi is now dead and buried.

With the dust settled the FIA has parted company with Michael Masi.

Masi, replaced as race director for the 2022 Formula 1 season following the controversial end to the 2021 campaign, has been confirmed as having departed the FIA.

According to a short statement from the FIA, Masi has made the decision to leave his role and relocate to Australia to be closer to his family and “take on new challenges”.

Curious to see what he plans on fooking up next.

Disagree. Only a driver inside a Merc during the turbo hybrid era stood a chance at winning the WDC before last year.

At this stage probably F1 once the drivers burn down the FIA

Ferrari have recent experience at burning other things

Carlos Sainz is expected to take a fourth PU at the French Grand Prix, bad timing for the Spaniard as Marca reports Ferrari’s reliability fixes aren’t ready to be raced.

Sainz’s third hybrid system went out with a bang at the Austrian Grand Prix, his car catching fire after his engine failed while he was chasing down second place.

It was his fourth retirement of the championship, and the third that was engine related.

While Ferrari could go rummaging through his older hybrid parts to make up an engine, Marca claims that with ‘mileage already at the limit’ that is not an option for a circuit such as Paul Ricard. ‘A fresh one is needed’.
