"The PowerBoost button on the A1 car allows the engine to reach its maximum of 550 bhp (410 kW). When used at the right time, this feature can encourage overtaking. For the PowerBoost to activate, the throttle position must be above 80% and the speed more than 60 km/h. The button must also be depressed to continue on PowerBoost mode. However, the PowerBoost automatically deactivates itself if the throttle falls below 40%. Each driver only has a limited number of uses of the PowerBoost function. The driver can only use it four times in a sprint race and eight times in a feature race. Once these maximum allocated uses of the PowerBoost have been used, the system is disabled until the end of the race, after which Zytek engineers reset the system for the next race"

I read his remarks too. He said it was too his race engineer, done when he was running in second place having overtaken Checo, and then had Hamilton drive into him. He also said that while it was based on emotion, he should have been mindful of what was said bearing in mind it could have been broadcast.
Typical Yanks...creating issues for viewership. I don't think Alonso and Hamilton particularly hang out with each other and are mates, but they have some form of respect.

CRB finds in favour of McLaren

The Contract Recognition Board has found in favour of McLaren's contract, thereby giving the green light to driver for the Woking outfit in 2023.

"BWT Alpine F1 Team thanks the Contract Recognition Board (CRB) for convening on Monday and we acknowledge the decision they have made," said the French team in reaction to the decision.

"We consider the matter closed on our side and will announce our full 2023 driver line-up in due course."
