Having already threatened action against Mercedes and Ferrari for their def(l)amatory claims, it remains to be seen whether Red Bull might now be considering targeting the FIA.
That's is some real shithouse reporting right there.

Hi everyone,

How are the politics in the MyBB F1 world before I delve into it?
Not much politics but at least two strong factions, that is true for any F1 forum though.

Put on a Flame retardant suit, Don't feed the Trolls, learn where the Ignore Button is hidden and most importantly keep a sense of humor.

Then dive in and give it a try.

There are many nuggets of gold amongst the waffle and several knowledgeable and long time fans.

I love trolling the trolls and catching them at their own game so that seems fun!

I mildly support Max since beginning of last year's but just because he's the most competitive for now.

Being French, I'd definitely switch my allegiance to Gasly or Ocon if they start being more competitive.

Leclerc is Monegasque so not the same thing (despite Monaco not really being a country and using the French juste system, French diplomacy and their sovereignty being the responsibility of the French army)! :p

I'm really more interested in the technical aspect and the strategies more than anything else.

Howzit man,

Absolutely no politics here. We keep it fair and never result to personal insults or mud-slinging, as we're all aware it's just a sport and never take any of it personally.

Just review the last two or three pages for proof.

Well the Princess is South Africa ;) and Leclerc is popular around here, but I do have French family too so can understand your point of view.
It can be tricky being British Born and Married to a French family, but the Wife and I consider ourselves to be African.

There is a lot of technical discussion and tactical debate but it can get lost in the detritus between race weekends.

Give it a try for a couple of races then make up your mind.

All good thanks, and you?

Still in SA after hectic up and downs but now married, healthy (in remission for 9 months) so things seem to get back to normal!

Glad you say that, I can't even watch F1 twitter, it's just a contest of who's gonna slander Lewis or Max the most. They're both amazing drivers, both are humans and have flaws too.

Definitely up for that!

I have no interest in determining the greatest of all times or who pees the best.

Funny story about Monaco that very few know. Under de Gaulle, there was a fallout with Monaco. Basically, French millionaires were leaving France to go live there and pay much less taxes, France obviously didn't like it.

Monaco was refusing to sign a taxation treaty so De Gaulle decided to organize a blockade of Monaco: nothing gets in or out and remember, they have no sea access because it has to go through French waters, same with roads, and no airport.

After a few days I think, there was a treaty.

The result nowadays is that even if you relinquish your French nationality and become a Monaco national, you still pay taxes in France.

The bulk of their billionaires is Italian (who flee Italy and don't have such treaty) like the Ferrero family (Nutella...) or going back to Charles, the Pastor family who sponsor Charles (they're the largest real estate developer in Monaco).

Why would a Frenchman call himself Esteban, did they also surrender to Spain? :p

Btw welcome back to the forums. How's your health doing?
All good, in full remission for the second time (6 months the first time, but now it's been 9 months) so hoping it remains this way but odds are better this time.

Esteban wouldn't be uncommon in the French side of the Basque country but his father is actually from Malaga like Picasso.

Glad to hear you’re doing better man, congrats.
And yes, I know what you mean, the two camps are quite vocal.

The French side of Basque country is where my brother in law, niece and Nephew live - Biarritz :)

Lol

On the side, the FIA (shame on me, it's based in Paris) is not helping at all.

They're inconsistent, slow and secretive. None of that helps.

And the rule book honestly needs a revamp, as a lawyer, it's far too open and left to interpretation.

My ex stepfather's boss was actually one the lawyers always dealing with FIA cases. Guy had a F40, car nuts. I was a kid but I remember he did a big case involving Ferrari and the FIA at the end of the 90s.

I will have the Hannah schnitzel please, she is not only a good looking dish, she is probably the second most intelligent person in that team after Adrian Newey.

She's a complete Rockstar, possibly the best performing person on their team.

Just don't go much further back than that, can sometimes become a bit rough.

The FIA says it “is currently determining the appropriate course of action to be taken”
{translation} Netflix haven't finished writing the script yet .....
