Yeah, I know. Just wanted to add some excitement to the breaking news....

Horner has always stated that Red Bull will not do 2 Alpha drivers together again. Didn't go well the last time Daniel and Max were on the same stretch of tarmac in the same car.....
That's political speak for RB have to jump through hoops to find someone to second Max. They've shown more than once that it's easier said than done. Perez has lasted surprisingly long.

note his "fashion" sense whereas the other drivers all wear the sponsor/team clothing
Hamilton is a 7 times WC, he can afford another change of clothing for after hours.
Besides, it's hardly a public event, I doubt sponsors care.

That pic... Hamilton with his arm around Perez... I wonder if he's offered to be Perez' wingman and keep Verstappen from spoiling his party at Abu Dhabi?

Hypothetical scenario that Merc find themselves in on Sunday: They're running 1 - 2 in the race with George 1st and Lewis 2nd. Checo and Charles are in the points so the possibility of George nabbing second place in the championship is not an option given he needs both of them to DNF. Do they move George out of the way for Lewis so that he maintains his record of winning a race in every season he's competed in or do they keep things as they are...

No :p

I guess they'll just keep their positions. No need to swap with nothing to gain for anyone. And if I was George I'd be pissed if they robbed me of a hard earned victory just so his teammate can hang onto some meaningless record. How does that benefit George?

I would think the attitude would be "let them race" until about 2 laps remaining and then hold positions for the 1 and 2.

Let them race as aggressively as they like.

Let George take out Lewis or Vice Versa and let Charles win

Or ... SC with 5 laps to go and race ends under safety car and Checo benefits. :whistling:
Only after the 5 cars between him and Charles are allowed to unlap themselves on the second last lap so the SC can come in and racing can start one lap early.

Grid penalty incoming for Lewis
Yeah looks pretty slam dunk. Im all for excessive penalties for infringments under yellow or red flags - purely for safety reasons. In MotoGP its automatic, no representation, no quarters given
