I wonder if it will not be a good move by Ferrari to declare Carlos Slides their second driver. It seems that he is trying to compete with Leclerc and by doing it, pushes to hard and make mistakes.
If they tell him he is second driver and has a job to support Leclerc and the team, then he might relax, push less and finish podium. That will restore his confidence in the long term and maybe he will even win a race or two.

Pretty impressive from Russell in that "undriveable" car. What's the Russell/Hamilton split so far this season? It feels as if Rus has out-practiced, out-qualified and out-raced the elder statesman pretty much the whole season so far.
Drive to survive was made for you speedster. While you're at it, tell us about how Sainz and Verstappen broke their cars LMAO.
It's free practice.

Need to see what happens in qualifying... If they up there, then it will be very interesting indeed. FIA will have to investigate their sudden improvement, possible cheating by Mercedes

Perhaps you can show me the stats to prove me wrong rather than resorting to ad-hominem attacks?

We all know this sudden increase In speed by Mercedes looks dodgy. They need to be investigated.
Hehe. Although, they were so useless so far this season this is could simply be a reversion to mean. My comment has more to do with Russell schooling his far more illustrious teammate

I have a feeling turns 11 through 16 are going to ruin quite a few qualifying laps with slow cars on track at those points.

A lot of spinning, that series of corners before the straight is catching out a lot of drivers

Is it just a tricky section with elevation and angles or is the track still just rubbering in?

I think it's just a rubbish track. Maybe good for lots of crashing, but not good for proper racing.

New track, which is obviously vastly different from the sim, hence the crashing.

Looks tight and difficult for overtaking. Let's hope the '22 car can follow closely for drs passing.

8+ retirements methinks.

Hamilton has checked out of the hotel. He'smentally given up. You can see it in the pre-quali interviews. It's the problem with the people at the top, in any game, if you start failing, it's a massive thing to get the mindset back to where it was before.

3 DRS zones, some monster straights, I think we going to see lot's of over taking. Problem is the lack of grip off of the racing line! Going to take massive plumbs to take those over taking opportunities...

Checo was testing it against Seb. He eventually ran off because he couldn't make it stick going into the corner.

Reckon that those who don't go all out aggressive will end up coming out on top...
