They won't be on the grid for 2 years, and even that is dependent on FoM and the Teams agreeing, but in that time a lot can change. I would imagine they would arrive with drivers from their own academy or from McLaren (Brown and Andretti are close friends and work together in Indicar).

I hope that they they do get a slot, I really do, but I suspect the other teams will stone wall them.

If they do get in then the top F1 drivers will watch with interest, especially with an expanding US fan base and good sponsorship money, but, I think they will need to see that Andretti are in F1 to win and not just prop up the back markers or mid field.

They will get great PR from Danica though, seeing as they were predominant in her own claim to fame.

If they get in and punch above their weight in 2026 even Hamilton or Alonso may be tempted...............

I just like the idea of more seats being available. It appears (at least currently) that even if we got rid of paid and useless drivers there's still an oversupply of genuine talent.

Do they have enough super license points ?
Pato does after he finished 4th in Indycar this season. Herta finished 10th and only got 1 SL point. He was on 32 last year when AT were looking at him and the FIA rejected his bid. He needed 40 points to qualify for the SL.

Now that the Carlin bid has been rejected, Jamie Chadwick is available if they wanted to enter F1 with a Midia draw card which is a very American way of doing things.

She would definitely bring 'something' to the series but would struggle. I was reading up on her some time ago and she was struggling in Formula3 in Japan (i think) so F1 might be really really tough for her

Was about to say this. Same way Macca will have a Japanese driver soon.
Define "soon"? They've added Ryo Hirakawa as a reserve driver, but Norris and Piastri are signed to '25 and '26 respectively.

This exactly. The FIA may be happy but until F1 itself approves the entry, there is no guarantee Andretti will be on the grid. I would personally like to see an 11th team enter the sport. An Andretti/Cadillac entry will stir up some major interest from the US.
