the real Classic tracks are still fantastic for racing. look at Silverstone. look at Interlagos. every year without fail its one of those two that are looked back on as the best race of the season.
But if you let them remove Monaco then what is to prevent them dropping Silverstone, Interlagos, Spa etc.

If FOM follow your advice to "improve the things that work" they will drop all of the old Circuits for Parking lots in American City's as they already know that that works, short term for the bottom line profit, and that is all that FOM are interested in.

To them the Racing is secondary, the hosting fees and marketing income is how they measure success.

Since the car size won't change anytime soon Monaco's only solution to lack of overtaking is to modify the track. The challenge is finding space to do so and I'd guess that'd be near the swimming pool/pit complex.

Unfortunately this is across most sports. Without the income stream to operate stadiums, players, employees etc most sports would die out.

Sometimes you have to have the big income events to allow the sport to grow etc. Without races like Vegas and Monoco which are built around the spectacle, we might not have Silverstone and Spa etc in a few years time.

As long as enough fans complain, certainly the drivers are complaining, then perhaps the FIA will look into it and figure something out.

I agree, was thinking the same thing on Sunday. That could potentially be the overtake spot if redesigned.

It's a massive section with the pool in the middle so there are options especially if they figure out an alternative location for the pit crews.

Ocon could be a contender for Sargeant's seat.

He might not even get a seat for 2025. He has showed that he is not a team player and no team wants that smoke.

With so many drivers looking for seats and new exciting drivers waiting in the wings, there is just no reason to take a risk on like Ocon.

Alpine could easily bring in a rookie or a Mick and let Gasly be the number 1 for the team.

Sauber will have Hulkenberg and probably Bottas/Sainz/Ocon
Williams: Albon and Sainz/Bottas/Kimi/Ocon
Merc: Russel and Kimi/Sainz/Ocon/Bottas/Mick
Haas : Bearman/Magnussen/Ocon
VCarb: Yuki and Lawson/Danny

As for RB, Ferrari, Mclaren and Aston I think their drivers is set for 2025

They did a whole "Don't. Miss. It!" post for 5:00BST, pushed it big time. And then this is the announcement? Could have been a tweet. Literally nobody cares about what Checo does at this point.

if they lose the constructors they’ll have egg on their face.

I like Perez, and I dislike Marko, so I am very happy that Perez has got a contract extension. But I can see absolutely no strategic advantage to Red Bull.
I, along with thousands of F1 fans, thought he was passed his prime and could have moved to help out a back marker and be a mentor to new drivers.

Well done Checo.......
