Imho, F1 need a relegation system or challenge system of some kind to enter the sport if a prospective new team (which can meet the financial/technical requirements/qualifications) wish to compete.Mmm interesting. I still think they need to buy out Haas. We don't need another team on the grid imo.

I think F2 should be elevated to a more F1-like specification and F3 be more like F2. I think it’s inevitable for this to happen. To address the current politics introduce an 11th team that is inherited by the winner of F2 but doesn’t participate in rev shares unless it finishes in the top 10. Finish 11th and it’s back to F2. The amount of competition in F2 and the bottom F1 teams might generate quite interesting competition.Yeah I was thinking the same thing just now. Give a team 4-5 years and relegate with another team if they don't meet a certain point system or whatever. Haas at least is doing better this year, but realistically will always languish at the bottom. Time to give another team a go.

Then let it be optional or a qualifying factor that can be exercised by the winning team if they win. Even better.I actually really like the idea of the religation system.
but I cant see Prema ever wanting to enter F1. they are the Ferrari of F2 after all.
I do think a team needs to be in F2 first before entering F1. prove they can run a team properly.
I can just imagine crofty trying to explain this to the viewers... F1 thinks having multiple pitstops is too complicated for viewers.the more I think about it the more I agree. no religation.
13 teams. 20 fastest cars make it to final Quali. and practice sessions.
before Fp1 there is 2 half an hour sessions where 13 cars per session are allowed to do set up.
then there is a warm up and push lap for each car alone on the grid done in reverse order to the last race's session.
so the 20 fastest cars go though. might not be 2 of each team. but if the Ferrari was the fastest this week it goes first in the session Next race so that the 6 cars that have the potential to fall out have the slight advanage of track evolution.
so the points system, as well as the number of cars for free practice does not change, because imagine 26 cars trying to do quali sims around moneco at the same time.....
still only 20 cars start. grid penalties apply on the next race you make it. so that 3 place penalty for Ocon after moneco might have only been served 5 races later if Ocon did not manage to be one of the 20 fastest cars on the grid.
that way you have a potentially much more interesting season where because of rain or track evolution the "top 4" teams might not all qualify for the race because they were slower than back markers. this will lead to more entertaining seasons all around, especially with some of the tracks with insane track evolution. and of course the more consistent teams will be very stable and always place themselves in a position where you are stable and part of the 20 cars that start on the grid by being 10th in the pre practice qualifying.
this makes the teams and the drivers work harder when they are in a run of bad form.
So when do we start calling them oldpeen?![]()

What baffles me is that you think personal opinions by forum dwellers is somehow expert. What baffles is me why team owners still bother with headhunting/recruitment for their teams? With the wealth of insight and experience on this forum surely they'd do better hiring an expit?
