Lando was only in that position because he was given first option. Can’t ignore his gain was as a result of that.
 
The trouble is Lando has everything to lose and Oscar nothing. Oscar can go hell for leather but Lando can’t afford a DNF.

If Oscar divebombed and left no room perhaps but Lando left the gap. I’d also have to rewatch it but if Oscar hadn’t cut in front of Russell before then chicane then perhaps Russell might’ve been the one to go round the outside as Oscar did.

If Oscar hadn’t been bent on racing his teammate he might not have been whining about tyre management at the end.

It makes no difference when you lose the WC by 7 points.

Either way it’s probably going to be moot. I’m not sure Macca will be fighting for every win going forward anyway.

IF’s all over. Mclaren have said they can race and so they should.

It's the sort of pass that shows he wants to win. He's not here to make up the numbers. We always hear that in F1 your teammate is your biggest rival and now you want him to sit behind a guy he's capable of beating.

Tifosi fans rejoice. Hell nothing more special than a Ferrari win at Monza. Good on Charly boy, he did a fantastic job.

Oscar is looking more and more like the champion I said he will be one day and I think 2025 will be a fierce year between the Mclaren boys. Constructors will be going to Mclaren but that Drivers is going to be tight.

I am quite dumbfounded that the RB could not race with a full powered engine.. What in the blue hell is going on there? Max still getting the most of the 4th best car has to be commended.

Also, it seems that they are just not interested in the Driver's championship. They have thrown away 10 points in the charge to overtake Verstappen...

I'd say Norris has to earn the WDC and not expect a faster team mate to slow down for him to get it. That will be the one way for McL to lose Piatri in the close future, and it's clear Piastri is the better driver....

Lando does not have the "mindset" like Max, Oscar, Lewis. He is a very good driver, but it seems he lacks the champion mentality. Oscar is getting better and better each race. The pressure from Oscar will be coming more and more each race.

Great example was Max in Miami last year. He absolutely destroyed Checo to make a point and Checo after that race went into the mid card driver you see today.

Lando needed to forget team orders in Hungary, do the alpha dog thing and pissed all over his territory and focused on winning this championship.

Max literally told RB in 2022 to never ask him to swap places with anyone. You win or you lose. Don't expect a team mate to give you the points.

Lando also said he braked earlier because he knew the team secured 1-2 after the start. He could have braked later if he knew that Oscar was going for the move, and then both cars could have been out of the race.

Just a total mess all round. Oscar's engineer should have been on the radio after the first corner telling him to hold position...

Nah, happy to have them race. Lando left the gap and any driver would go for it.

I disagree with this. We are here to watch racing, not to look and confirm the drivers do as told by their race engineer all the time.

Oscar is a future WDC unlike Lando. He has the same attitude and pure racing instinct like all the previous greats. I don't see why this should be taken away from him.
